CORVETTES of BUFFALO pg 1 Hello everyone, It looks like the end of the Corvette season is here and now we begin thinking about the winter months, the Holidays, C.O.B. Brunch, New Years and my birthday (Hahahaha,) January 6th if you really wanted to know:seriously I would like everyone to start thinking about different things to do as a club. I know things like the Ice Cream Social, and Dinner Cruises are fun but let’s think of events that we can do in the winter months as well as in the summer. We as a club are always looking for new ideas as long as they are not too crazy or illegal. So for the next couple of meeting’s come up with some new ideas so that the 2015 winter and summer season is better than last year and thanks again to all the members involved in the 2014 activities. Please don’t forget to bring in a non-perishables food item for the church’s pantry. November’s meeting is our elections, so if you can attend please do and if you cannot be present please cast your vote and place it in a sealed envelope and give to an officer or board member before the November’s meeting. Good luck to all the candidates. Drive Safe Mike B. The 2014 COB Nominees are:

President

I wish to thank all who nominated me for the office of President of Corvettes of Buffalo. I think in the past two years we have done a lot of good things. There is always room for improvement, for this reason I would like to be your President for one more year!

Thank You

Mike Buccilli

Recording Secretary

As a member of Corvettes of Buffalo I feel in is very important for every member to take an active role in the activities of the organization. The success, quality and frequency of the events held are the direct result of the participation of the members. Since joining COB, I have always tried to assist with running various events, chaired the summer picnic and this past summer organized monthly dinner drives. I truly enjoy being involved and pulling together an afternoon event that the members attend and find to be an enjoyable time. I recently accepted the nomination for the office of Recording Secretary. I’m asking for your support in the upcoming election. I hope to learn more about the operations of the organization and continue to develop and initiate the types of activities that you, the members, find to be of interest, enjoyable and want to attend. I look forward to this opportunity and I hope to have a great 2015. Thank You John Biggie

Treasurer

To all cob members, Thank you for the nomination for the office of treasurer. I enjoyed being a board member this past year and would be honored to serve the members as Treasurer in 2015. My background is in accounting. I was an accounting major in high school and business school and worked as a bookkeeper for 10 years. I also volunteered as PTA president and treasurer for booster clubs while my kids were in school. I look forward to serving COB in this capacity to the best of my ability. Sincerely, Marianne Pastore

Board Members Letters

Since I joined Corvettes of Buffalo I have seen the club grow in membership, in number of activities for the members and also it has grown in popularity and respect in the community. As a member in good standing I have chaired events such as Christmas Brunches, a mystery cruise and a Corvette Caravan as well as helping other chairmen with duties associated with these events. As a member of the Board of Directors, I feel I can bring new ideas to the board and will pass along any concerns pertaining to the well being of the group. I would appreciate your vote for me on Election Day. Thank you for your support. Dick Brownlee Hi COB Members! Elections are here and I would appreciate your vote for the upcoming year. Having served on the board for the past 2 years, and being a member in good standing, I'm submitting my continued promise to serve COB as best I can. I'm looking forward to our new year and events that should bring us together and share the joy of being proud corvette owners. Thank you, Sue Brownlee I've been a member of COB for the past 4 years and have enjoyed many of the club activities. I’d like to become more involved with the club and feel that becoming a member of the board I’d learn more about the club and I could bring new ideas to the club. I’d appreciate your vote. Jim Kelly H! My name is Patti Parrish and I would like to be a Board Member of the Corvettes of Buffalo. I have been with our club for a little over 3 years and the Activity Director for 2 years...I really enjoy being a member and would like to become more involved. Thank you! Patti Parrish For those members who may not know me, I have been a member since 1998 and have held the positions of President, Vice President and Board Member. In the past, I have served as your President, Vice President, club Secretary and have been an active Board Member for several years. I have volunteered and enjoyed chairing many club events over the years including Chairman of the Caravan 3 years, Car Shows 2 years, and Chairman of the Finance committee for the past 8 years. Because of personal business commitments, I have decided to decline any Officer Position nominations for 2015 but I would appreciate your vote as a Board Member. Thank you in advance for your vote on November 8, 2014. Skip Polowy After serving as a Board Member this year for Corvettes of Buffalo Inc. I would like to serve in this capacity again in 2015. Bob Parish and I ran the Salvatore's Show that had the most entries and largest profits ( even with the early rain) then in all the pass car shows. As one of the original founders of Corvettes of Buffalo back in 1981 I served as President (3) Vice President.(2) Treasurer (1), Board (6),and been an active member for 33 years. Your vote would be appreciated Pete Ricigliano Dear C.O.B. members, My name is Wayne Scudder and have been a active member since March 2013. I am writing to let you know of the interest I have in a 2015 Corvettes of Buffalo Board of Directors opening. I want C.O.B. to keep growing while respecting By-Laws and respecting the responsibilities of a C.O.B. Board Member. Thank you, Wayne Scudder

It has been my pleasure to serve on the board of directors the past three years and vice president for two years prior. I have been chairman and vice chair for the Super Cruise and vice chair of the caravan this year. With my past experiences I would like to run again this year for the Board of Directors and continue to serve you the members. Thank you for your past support. Rich Zahner

Clarence Presbyterian Church

Food Pantry Items - November 8th

Meeting

The Clarence Presbyterian Church has been our meeting place for several years and the Church Trustees have been very accommodating to the Corvettes of Buffalo. The Church hosts a local Food Pantry to help those families in need of support in the communities. As you know, they receive many generous donations of perishable food items. Due to expiration dates and surplus, some of these items are available to our members at our monthly meetings. But the Church Food Pantry is always in need of NON-perishable items too. Please donate and bring a few non-perishable items to the November 8th club meeting to help the Food Pantry. These items could be anything from canned goods, peanut butter, jelly, soups or even items such as paper towels, tissue, soaps, etc… All donations are appreciated and accepted with prayers for those that need support. Please remember that November is the time of Thanksgiving! Thank you for any donations!
