WE MUST TAKE CHRIST AS OUR
MODEL IN ALL THAT WE DO

WE MUST TAKE CHRIST AS OUR MODEL
A TALK given by Philip Illsley at St Clare’s Prayer Centre Porthcawl in Oct 2001. www.holyishisname.co.uk [email protected] We must take Christ as our model in all things but
it is His Life, His Character that we must all
take as our model. Christ’s teaching how it
overshadows all that the Saints of day’s gone past
have to teach us, could we but master His Spirit
what a store of Spiritual Gifts we could find, we
need the Spirit of Christ within us.
Today my friends, I would like to offer you some
practical advice, a rule of life if you like of how we
can all take, Christ as our model in all that we
say and all that we do, a call for us all to be holy.
“ He, who follows me can never walk in
darkness “ Jesus said, This is what today is about.
How is it we can all go to Mass on a Sunday, listen
to the Gospel and a great homily from the priest
that really hits us, and makes us say gosh he is
right. I must really change my ways, and by
Monday we have forgotten all about it. This
happens because we haven’t got, The Spirit of
Christ within us that is why this happens. If we
want to understand Christ’s words coming from
his priest and relish the meaning of them, we
must be the one trying to fashion our own life with
Christ as our model. If we had the whole of
Scripture at our fingertips and the maxims of all the
philosophers what use would all of this be without
Gods grace and love ? Nothing else matters,
except loving God and asking Him to help us all to
be His followers and giving Him our total
loyalty. The Eternal Word speaks to us and from
Him all creation takes its origin, and therefore all
creation has but one voice, His voice. If we are to
have a holy life, we must ask God for a clean heart
and heavenly wisdom that will reflect God’s Will
within us. The humbler we are the more submissive
we will be in God’s service, and wiser in our
everyday judgements, and more learned to abandon
our own will and to do Gods Will in all things only
if we listen to His Voice.
This is why we must every day pray for a clean
heart and heavenly wisdom in all things.
Prayer: O God, strengthen me by the grace of
Your Holy Spirit, make me firm within my efforts
to be Holy. Empty my heart of all unnecessary
worry and anxiety, and do not let me be carried
away by desire of anything whatsoever worth
having or otherwise. Make me realise that all things
are passing away, and that I too must follow them,
give me Your Heavenly Wisdom to seek You, and
to find You, to love You, and understand You,
above all things. Fill me with the Gift of your
Holy Spirit, to do Your work on Earth and bring
many souls with me to Heaven. Amen Fiat.
We could all of us have peace in our hearts if only
we would not concern ourselves with things other
people are saying and doing, things which in the
main are no business of ours, how can any of us
have lasting peace in our hearts when we are
always minding other people’s business, and we all
tend to believe the worst instead of the best about
others.
We all of us like to have our own way, and we all
have a preference for the people whose views agree
with our own. If the Divine Presence is in us we
must aim at peace between ourselves and everyone.
With that aim in view each of us will have to
sacrifice now and again our own way of thinking
and let the other person have their own way for
love of God. To be humble is to enjoy
undisturbed peace of mind.
What is it that makes us all fond of talking or
gossiping with our friends, but in reality we all
know we hardly ever come away from these
situations without a guilty conscience.
We must be very guarded of sins of the tongue
we must all of us be more watchful in this
important area as we are all victims of bad habit
and we are all sometimes lacking in our soul’s
progress and we can all speak unguardedly.
As long as our life lasts on earth, my friends, none
of us shall ever be rid of temptations or difficulties,
and each and everyone of us has their own
temptations, which must call for special care, for
us all to be on the watch against them, or the Evil
One will pounce trying to take us unawares. The
Devil is our unsleeping enemy who roams about
looking for his prey seeking someone to corrupt.
We must all of us begin by saying no to our
temptations, and fight against them.
We all need to get out of our bad habits, or they
will get worse as time goes on. We all have to
apply the axe to the root of our faults, our natures,
our emotions, and clear our passions away before
we can attain any peace. On the other hand if we
give way to these temptations and passions
invariably we become struck down by remorse
of conscience, all that comes from yielding to
them. When we are tempted to do wrong the root
of the trouble is always the same, we want to do
our will, and not God’s Will, and doing our own
will invariably leads us to sin.
Do not boast of riches ( if you happen to have
them) or about the important friends you have.
What a folly it is to seek only money that will not
last and to put your trust in wealth. What a folly it
is my friends to set your heart on worldly honours
or schemes for your own advancement. What a
folly to pray for a long life without caring
whether it is lived well or badly, to think only of
our present existence instead of making provision
for the world to come. What a folly it is to fall in
love with what passes in a moment. Instead of us
all hurrying to the goal, where eternal happiness
awaits us all in the blessed homeland of Heaven.
We hear of Saints who reached the heights of
holiness, how did they manage it ? In the main
they made it their business to wean themselves
away from their earthly desires their human will.
This left them free to cling with every fibre of their
hearts to God, and with God’s Will, they
attended to the business of saving their own souls
and those of others. The only educated person
today is the one who has learned to abandon his
own will and to only do God’s Will instead.
THE JUSTICE OF GOD AND OUR FINAL
JUDGEMENT;
At every turn of our lives my friends, keep the end
in view, Gods Justice and our final judgement. I
cannot remember the last time I heard any homily
on Gods Justice and our final Judgement, or the
existence of Hell and Purgatory or the great need
for regular confession or of the Devil. These are
never spoken about or rarely spoken about from the
pulpit today which in my view is a very great
mistake. We all need to remember that when we
leave this earth in death we will all have to stand
before the judgement throne of God to be
judged.
My Friends if you go away from here today with
anything go away with this; Take, your SINS
seriously, Be SORRY, for them Make
REPARATION for them Now.
It is much better to get rid of your sins now, to
prune away your bad habits now, than keep them to
be paid for in those, purifying fires which never
go out. Nothing but a holiness of life, nothing but a
life well lived will give us the confidence to be able
to face God on our last day, because it is by your
and my actions that God will judge us, please all
wake up to this fact today.
Anyone, who does not believe in our final
Judgement when we leave this earth in death, is
frankly living with the fairies. I want to prove
this to any doubters now through the amazing
miracle of Stanley Villavicencio’s return to life.
On Saturday July 21st 2001 I brought Bro
Stanley Villavicencio To St Peters Church in
Cardiff, Our Divine Mercy prayer group in St
Peters were 10 years old that year and Fr David
Myers, the parish priest in St Peters was very
supportive.
Bro Stanley Villavicencio
Bro Stanley Villavicencio who died at 8.00am on
March 2nd 1993, and came back to life on March
5th 1993 exactly 3 days later.
Bro Stanley, a Filipino who revived and returned
to life, after a pronouncement of clinical death, he
is giving his testimony all over the world, with
audiences hanging on every word of his brush
with eternity.
A Man with a Mission: Stanley Villavicencio.
The case of Stanley has been thoroughly
investigated by the Catholic Church. He is from the
Philippines and has the support of the Bishops
there. He now travels the world giving his
testimony with the support of Cardinal Ricardo
Vidal of Cebu in the Philippines.
Bro Stanley’s experience reminds me of Lazarus
in the Bible, he was dead for 4 days and Jesus
brought him back to life. I really do think that we
all need to ask ourselves what it is that Jesus is
trying to teach us in the world today through
this amazing miracle of Stanley’s return to life.
Stanley is a married man with a large family he
was a good Catholic with a particular devotion to
the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was in a state of
normal health when on March 2nd 1993 he was
found at 8.am to be convulsive with blood coming
from his mouth, eyes, and ears. He was rushed to
the intensive Care Unit and he had stopped
breathing, and was put on a life – support machine.
His father and sister were both doctors and they
arrived and together with four hospital specialists
they found his death was a mystery and that
nothing could be done to save him.
Below an advert that we used to advertise this
day, which attracted many people to come and
hear his testimony in St Peters Church.
So What did Stanley experience? In his testimony
he say’s that he found himself come out of his body
and went through a tunnel of light, a light he had
never seen before. And at the end of this tunnel he
saw Jesus as in The Divine Mercy image. Without
a word Jesus lifted His hand and clouds came down
and revealed a giant screen all around them and Stanley saw his Entire Life played out on this
giant screen. When Jesus showed him all the
good things he had done in his life he felt a great
happiness and peace, but when Jesus showed him
all the bad things he had done in his life, he felt a
great heat and heaviness upon him, and he tried to
close his eyes not to see it, but he could still see it
even with his eyes closed, and then what he was
seeing went into slow motion, and dragged more
slowly and enlarged before his eyes to show him
the great wrongs he had done.
Stanley said, we cannot deny anything; all of our
lives are before God like an open book wherein He
reads all the moments of our lives, even the
seconds are counted and we cannot deny
anything. After Jesus had reviewed Stanley’s life
three times, He tapped him on the shoulder and
said ”You must go back; I have much work for
you to do”. Stanley then awoke in his bed in the
high intensity unit in Cebu Hospital, he noticed a
nurse asleep on a chair next to his bed, and he
started to pull the tubes from his throat, this caused
the nurse to awake, at which she screamed and ran
out of the room screaming for help. Other nurses
and doctors arrived and were amazed to see him
alive, and they started to check all their equipment
to see if it was working.
During the three days Stanley was given an
amazing knowledge and understanding of the
messages of Divine Mercy as given to Sr Faustina
in the 1930’s. Clearly Jesus was concerned that
those messages had not been sufficiently
broadcast and He now appointed Stanley to
continue this Task. Jesus promised further
communication with Stanley, and he sees Jesus in
his dreams, and they communicate together.
Stanley has also received many blessings and many
conversions. Our Lord told Stanley, “ My son,
My son, Heaven rejoices as your team is leading
many souls to salvation. It consoles My Mother,
keep it up, be strong, it will not be long and after
this the era of peace comes as it is written. But
before it a struggle of great magnitude unseen
before will take place. All the signs are already
present, so now is the time for them to choose
between Mercy and Justice, and between
Heaven and Hell… As the time comes let them
pray the Chaplet and the Rosary unceasingly as
their shield “.
On Saturday 21st July we must have had 900
people in St Peters it was packed for Stanley’s
testimony and there were many non Catholics
there, many Anglicans, Methodists, and
Protestants, and the question and answer session
was very good after his testimony. On the Sunday
22nd July I took Bro Stanley into Cardiff Prison and
again an amazing day and is worthy of another talk.
Great things happened in Cardiff prison and we
set up a Divine Mercy prayer group there.
Stanley has also been examined by Fr Seraphim
Michalenko who investigated the cause of St
Faustina for the Vatican, Fr Seraphim was
amazed at Stanley’s knowledge and
understanding of the Divine Mercy. One other message of note from Jesus to Stanley;
“ Blessed are those who are pure of heart, the gates
of Heaven are so wide open for them. So now is the
time for them to cleanse themselves and reconcile
with one another, because of them I am
prolonging the time of Mercy, but I cannot hold
it for long, I love you my son”.
Remember my friends, nothing but a holiness of
life, nothing but a good and clear conscience will
be able to help us all face God on our last day
with confidence, because it is by your and my
actions that God will judge us. Remember what
Stanley said we cannot deny anything because our
lives are all before Him like an open book wherein
He reads all the moments of our lives.
EVEN THE SECONDS, Stanley say’s are
COUNTED. We all need to be prepared and
when we do this, We remain close God, it’s
about doing all the above my friends and
putting it into practice.
God the Father
God the Father tells us in the Great Book “The
Father Speaks to His Children”
That Love pays for everything. Great acts of
Love, compassion, forgiveness, mercy Pay for
everything. The Greatest Sins can be expiated by
acts of Love, compassion, forgiveness, and mercy.
We all have the remedy – “Love one another as
I have loved you “ Jesus said These were his last
words to all his apostles “Love one another as I
have loved you” because as His Father says
“Love pays for Everything”.
Our Lady gives us at Medjugorje our 5 stones.
These 5 stones are our weapons to defeat Evil to
defeat Satan, with these 5 stones we will
overcome the power and influence of evil and
sin in our lives, use these 5 stones daily and we
will all keep close to Jesus and His Blessed
Mother.
1st Stone:- Daily Prayer. Daily prayer is our daily
dialogue with God. Without daily prayer there is
no love or forgiveness and to pray with the heart
not just words, is to pray with love and trust.
Prayer heals and if we do not pray we can never
encounter God.
2nd
Stone:- Mass and the Eucharist. Our Lady
recommends Sunday Mass and when possible daily
Mass. Our Lady wants us to be full of joy and hope
during Mass so that this moment will be an
experience of God and that Mass becomes the
centre of our lives. We have to be prepared and pure
to receive Jesus with respect.
3rd
Stone:- Fasting. We all of us have to realise
the power of fasting because she tells us through
prayer and fasting we can stop wars, and
suspend the laws of nature. Fasting means to
make a sacrifice to God that we want to be soldiers
of God and offer our bodies in the battle against
evil.
4th
Stone:- Confession. Confession should be once
a month and confession is something that has to
make a new human being out of us, it is not to
free us from sin and allow us to continue the same
life after it. Confession is a call to transform us, to
renew us, and make us a new person.
5th
Stone:- Daily reading of the Holy Bible. Our
Lady asks us to place the Bible in a visible place in
our homes, so all who enter can see it. She asks us
all to read the Holy Bible Daily. You have all
forgotten the Bible she says, and asks us to read the
Holy Scripture daily.
These 5 stones my friends help us to Defeat
Satan and all his evil.
This is the power we all have when we use these
5 stones. And you know in reality when we do
these 5 things we have done very little but, we will
have done everything. Thank you for Listening or
Reading This. -- Philip Illsley. www.holyishisname.co.uk & [email protected]
The calls from Heaven my friends are not new,
but unfortunately mankind has preferred not to
listen. In 1846 at La Salette Mary gave her first clear
warning of approaching apocalyptic times.
At Fatima, the promise of a period of peace will be
given to the world through the consecration of
Russia, but this has not happened as Our Lady
desired.
In 1961 in Garabandal she foretold; The Great
Tribulation of Communism led by Russia.
And from 1981 up to the present day in
Medjugorje; the call to return to Her Son Jesus
Now before it’s too late, and when these
apparitions finish she will not come to this earth
again. We all need to listen to Our Mothers call
and her words from Heaven and when we put
our care in God’s hands, He will always put
Peace in our hearts.
This is a Talk that I first gave in St Clare’s Prayer
Centre in Porthcawl, South Wales in Oct 1999
called The Two Hearts and The Era of Peace
By Philip Illsley. www.holyishisname.co.uk
The Two Hearts:-- The Era of Peace
By Philip Illsley.
The devotion and consecration to the United
Hearts of Jesus and Mary has often been
connected with the coming Era of Peace. Thus
many messages refer to the coming era as the
“ Reign of the United Hearts of Jesus and
Mary.” Many visionaries have received visions
and messages concerning this reign of the two
Hearts, and this is what this day and Talk and book
is about.
Indeed many of the Virgins messages make it clear
that the call to The Hearts of Jesus and Mary is
the essence of how the Triumph will occur.
It is a Triumph which must begin within each
individual, for each and everyone of us must turn
away from the root of evil sin. Mary constantly
tells us this is the only way to find peace, to turn
away from evil and sin. It is this peace Mary so
earnestly wants for all her children. It is a peace
founded on forgiveness, mercy, fidelity, and self-
giving, and peace strengthened by sacrifice and
love. This peace in every individual will then
spread to every family and through prayer and
faith; this peace will become the cornerstone of
society and the triumph of The Immaculate
Heart of Mary.
In the early 1990s many visionaries throughout the
world were stepping up their call for the
consecration to the United Hearts of Jesus and
Mary. It seems this is God’s way of now ushering
in the Reign of the two Hearts. At Medjugorje on
April 25th 1992 Mary stated again, “I invite you to
decided for God and He will protect you and show
you all you should do and which path you should
take. I invite all those who have said yes to me to
renew their consecration to My Son, Jesus, and
to His Heart, and to me, so we can take you
more intensely as instruments of peace in this un
peaceful world”. Thus through consecration we
enter into Mary’s most important request at Fatima
for it involves our offering everything to Mary in
reparation so that the Era of the Two Hearts can
dawn. From all these messages we see that by
following the example of the children of Fatima
and Medjugorje our consecrations bring us into
The Alliance of the Two Hearts of Jesus and
Mary, it is an alliance of Love.
In this devotion to The Two Hearts we find that
Our heart is meant to be one with The United
Hearts of Jesus and Mary. This is really difficult
for us for Jesus was God and Mary conceived
Immaculate and we are sinners. Another message
from Fatima teaches us how to accept our place
next to Their Hearts, for at Fatima Saint Joseph
was given to us as our model and true spiritual
father for this union. During this
Last apparition at Fatima on October 13th 1917 It
was Saint Joseph who appeared with Jesus and
Blessed the people. From this we see that Saint
Joseph is our father and in this fatherhood we come
to realize his importance to The Alliance of the
United Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
Saint Thomas Aquinas Explains; “ There are
three things God cannot make greater than He
has made them, The Humanity of Our Lord, The
Glory of the Elect, and the incomparable Mother of
God, of whom it is said that God can make no
mother greater than the Mother of God. You may
add a fourth in honour of Saint Joseph, God cannot
make a greater father than the father of God”
Thus like Saint Joseph we are called to unite our
Hearts to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and The
Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This wonderful prayer for the consecration of us
and our families to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and Thee Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I come to You to Consecrate myself and my entire
family to Your Two Hearts. I desire to renew the
vows of my Baptism and place each member of my
family through an act of faith, hope, and love, into
loving union with the Holy Family of Jesus
Mary and Joseph. I dedicate myself and each
member of my family to the Guardian Angels God
has given each one of us. O Holy Guardian Angels
enlighten, guide, and protect each one of us so as to
lead us safely home to Heaven. At Fatima Dear
Mother of God, You appeared with Joseph and the
Child Jesus Blessing the world. O Holy Family
bestow, Blessings upon me and my entire family so
we may live the Christ Life. I desire that each
member of my family adore always the Most
Blessed Sacrament. Grant peace to each member
of my family keep each one of us in the Grace of
Jesus Christ. Never permit any of my family to
stray from the One True Faith, ( For any family
member who has strayed ) I beseech You to bind
up the wounds, lift up the fallen, and keep each of
our loved ones in grace, bid them come back to
Their Fathers True Home. Amen Fiat.
Marys Final Dogma: The Dogma of Mary as
Co- Redemptrix Mediatrix, and Advocate.
With the mystery of the significance of The
Devotion to The Two Hearts, another mystery has
been unfolding the much proclaimed call for a
Final Marian Dogma of Mary as, Co-Redemptrix,
Mediatrix, and Advocate. Many of Her revelations
indicate that like the conversion of Russia, the
Triumph of The Immaculate Heart in the world,
may be inescapably tied to the proclamation of a
final dogma on The Virgin Mary.
In the mid 1950s in Amsterdam, Holland, Mary
issued to Ida Perleman one of the most
prophetic and clear declarations concerning a final
dogma, of Mary Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, and
Advocate. Our Lady revealed to Ida during her
fiftieth vision on May 31st 1954 that on a future
date of May 31st the Co-Redemptirx, Mediatrix,
and Advocate would receive her official title.
In the course of the same message Our Lady also
said when the dogma-the last dogma in Marian
History has been proclaimed, the Lady of all
Nations would procure peace, genuine peace, for
the world. The Nations must say my prayer in
union with the Church, Then they will experience
that the Lady has come as Co-Redemprtix,
Mediatrix, and Advocate.
On Sunday February 11th 1951 Our Lady
requested the following Prayer;
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send forth
now Thy Spirit over all the earth. Let the Holy
Spirit live in the hearts of all Nations, that they
may be preserved from moral decline, disasters,
and war. May the Lady of all Nations who once
was Mary, be our advocate. Amen.
The propagation of this prayer began after the
ecclesiastical approbation of the prayer in the
Netherlands in 1951 and has been backed by the
ecclesiastical approbation of more than 50 Bishops.
Medjugorje
Since 1981 at Medjugorje many of Mary’s
messages have directly alluded to Mary’s title and
role in the plan of Redemption. In a message to the
visionary Maria Pavlovic on July 17th 1986 Mary
declared; “ I invite you to ask yourself why I am
with you this long. I am Mediatrix between you
and God. For that reason, Dear children, I
desire to call you to live always out of love, all
that which God desires of you. For that reason
Dear Children, in your own humility live all the
messages which I am giving you”.
Since there have been thousands of messages given
by Mary at Medjugorje it would be impossible to
quote all those that directly refer to our Lady as
Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate. Bishop
Paolo Hnilica S.J, of Rome, who has studied the
messages of Medjugorje, concludes that
Medjugorje is the fulfilment of Fatima and asserts
very strongly in his writings Mary’s right to the
title of Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, and
Advocate.
On February 11th 1994 the Bishop wrote:
“ The Mediatrix of all Graces, the virgin,
Co-Redemptrix who was and remained beneath
the Cross of her Son, has revealed at Fatima in
this century of ours the only remedy for
conquering evil in the world, every kind of evil,
the devotion to and consecration to her
Immaculate Heart. In her Immaculate Heart is
in fact our only Refuge. In it is revealed to us the
material tenderness of God”. In Medjugorje we
have found this maternal refuge and today we
see how precious it is.
All of these messages from visionaries all over this
world these last 150 years we see that many have
received messages that support and confirm
Mary’s role as Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, and
Advocate. As time goes forward perhaps the time
for declaration of the final dogma is now nearer
than we may all suspect.
The Mercy of God and God’s Justice !
While the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart and
The Era of Peace is certainly the cornerstone on
many of Mary’s revelations, the Virgin has made it
clear that she has come to call the world to
conversion! The world must convert !
Most significantly, Mary has said, since she began
to appear in Medjugorje in 1981, that no longer
can God’s justice be ignored ! God’s Justice
must come - although the extent and duration of it
is still contingent upon the world’s response to
God’s call to conversion, prayer, and reparation.
Since we all know God is Love, his words to his
children must emanate from His Love. Therefore
even Gods Justice must reflect His Love.
God is all Mercy as Jesus told Sr Faustina:
“ I am Mercy itself “ His Mercy therefore must
emanate is His words of Justice. Scripture tells us
that God Chastises those He Loves. In these
words we come to understand how God in His
Love and Mercy permits the suffering in order to
correct and purify us not to hurt us, most of all
God permits suffering for the salvation of souls
so they may live with Him throughout eternity.
From this we may infer that Gods reasons for
sending the Blessed Virgin Mary to speak to us
about His Justice emanates from His Will that
His Justice be served, for only through Gods
Justice can the world and mankind now survive!
Because without it the Virgins messages reveal that
both good and evil would perish, for this world is
on the Edge of a Precipice, thus God now permits
Tribulation not only to perfect and save souls, but
to also save the world.
Scripture also tells us that Tribulations though
some come from Men, are permitted by God.
Scripture also teaches us that we must be like
Christ and say, “ Am I not to drink the cup the
Father has given me “ And “ Not my will, but
your will be done “
THE CALL TO REPENTANCE: This is the call
coming from all Our Blessed Mothers messages.
God is calling us, He is calling our souls, He asks
us to repent and come back to Him, for His
anger only seeks our contrition, our conversion,
our healing. This message is not just for the
individual but for all mankind, and for the entire
world. My friends - this is why our Mother has
come, some of Her message are of a purification by
God, but She also tells us Gods Plan is to bring
us all back to Him. Her words speak of Gods,
Love, intimacy and mercy for all of His People.
HIS PLAN: To bring us all back to Him ! His
Plan of Mercy!
I believe my friends that God’s plan for all of us
is to take His Son Jesus as our model. Jesus said
“ He who follows me can never walk in darkness.”
So I offer you all who may hear this talk or read
this book some practical advice of how to say
close to Jesus and His Blessed Mother.
1) Over many years many have talked to me about
our Catholic Faith, many who are more learned
than I will ever be and more knowledgeable than I
will ever be, but it is not learned talk that saves a
man, or makes him a saint, only a life well lived
a life close to God that can claim His friendship.
For myself I would sooner know what contrition
feels like than how to define it. If you had the
whole of Scripture at your finger tips, what use is
all of it, without Gods love, and Gods grace,
nothing matters more than loving God and
giving Him your total loyalty.
2) Prayer and a daily prayerful life is how we all
stay close to God. Mary Our Mother tells us that
daily prayer is a search for God, daily prayer is a
dialogue with God, daily prayer means
understanding God, and that daily prayer is
necessary because after it everything becomes
clear, and daily prayer is our way out of every
situation that has no way out. Through daily prayer
God will give us the graces to cope with all the
difficulties and problems we all face in our daily
lives. Offer this prayer to God daily: Written by
me in Oct 1999: A prayer for a clean heart and
Heavenly Wisdom.
O God, strengthen me by the grace of your Holy
Spirit, make me firm within my efforts to be holy,
empty my heart of all unnecessary worry and
anxiety, and do not let it be carried away by desire
of anything whatsoever, whether worth having or
otherwise. Make me realise that all things are
passing away, and that I too must follow them.
Give me your heavenly wisdom to seek you and
find you, to love you and understand you above all
things. Fill me with your Holy Spirit to do your
work on earth and bring many souls with me to
heaven.
God is only too ready to hear our cries, and to
soothe our troubles, and if our lives are full of
prayer, then the peace of God will always be
with us.
3) The Holy Mass - the Eucharist and Regular
Confession. We attend Mass to unite ourselves
with Jesus in His great sacrifice, this means setting
aside all of our weaknesses and our sins, and beg
that we maybe transformed into Him. It is
overwhelming to think of the generous love of the
Lord towards us in giving Himself to us in the form
of bread and wine, this food and drink for our
immortal souls.
When we attend Eucharistic Adoration Jesus is
lifted up in love. God’s love of man created the
world, only mans love for God in the Blessed
Sacrament will recreate it, according to His
promise where we await a new heaven and a
new earth. The most outstanding vision of Sr
Faustina was before the Blessed Sacrament, with
each Holy Hour made rays would emanate from the
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus and encircle the entire
world. Every man, woman, and child experiences a
new effect of Gods love and mercy for every Holy
hour Made. Spiritually, Morally, the entire world
is being overtaken by evil, we are beyond any
human solution what we need is Divine
intervention and this divine intervention will be
the Great Eucharistic Miracle at Garabandal
foretold by Our blessed Lady the Queen of
Prophets at Garabandal in the 1960’s.
Regular Confession: The horror of sin, and the
peace of being reconciled with God through the
sacrament of confession. Jesus told Sr Faustina
that confession is the tribunal of My Mercy
there He said the Greatest Miracles take place
Miracles of conversion. As long as our life here
on earth lasts we shall never be rid of difficulties
and temptations, but we do have a way out, our
Mother shows us the way when she says,“ Give all
your problems and difficulties to my Son Jesus
and pray”, keeping close to God and doing all of
the above keeps us all in a state of Grace, and by
your daily consecration to the Two Hearts helps
to keep the Evil One away. This does not mean
we will not have temptations or difficulties in our
lives, but we will have the graces to deal with
them.
4) Things we all need to avoid: We need to be
slow to criticize others because how often do we
make mistakes? Disputes will always arise, even
between friends and family, even among religious
and devout souls. There will always be faults in
ourselves and others; there is nothing for it but for
us all too patiently put up with them. We do well to
pray about these things and ask God in His mercy
to help us bear them calmly. Charity must be our
motive in everything we do, however little or
insignificant a charitable act always bears a rich
harvest, God always takes into account not so much
what we have done but the love that went into the
act. Do not set your heart on riches or worldly
honours or schemes for your own advancement.
I have met many people in my life like this; in fact
this was a carbon copy of me many years ago. I
would have jumped over anyone for advancement
in my career when I was much younger and I have
known many Catholics whose love of money is
greater than their love of God and this, as scripture
says, is like worshiping a false God. There can be
no wisdom for any of us in spending time on
pursuits which are not going to promote our
chances of salvation, nothing but a Holiness of life
will set our minds at rest, nothing but a good and
clear conscience will help us all to be able to face
God on our last day with confidence because it is
by your and my actions that God will judge us.
Philip Illsley. I would like to express my gratitude to a number of
generous people who have sent me donations for this book. I thank you
all and God will not be outdone in His Generosity. I pray that you who
will read this book will treasure the teachings within, and allow Jesus and
His Blessed Mother to enrich your inner journey towards Heaven.
THE TWO HEARTS DEVOTION, and the
Era of peace.
When we do all this we remain close to God !
THE WAY to HOLINESS and Eternal Life !
The aim of this book is to offer practical advice.
A rule of life of how we can all take Christ as our
model in all that we say and do. In other words a
call to be Holy! “ He who follows Me can never
walk in darkness” Jesus said; This is the essence
of this book.
This book helps us to seek a clean heart and
heavenly wisdom that will always reflect God’s
Will within us. The humbler we are, the more
submissive we will be in God’s service the more
wiser and calm in our everyday judgements, the
more learned and able to abandon our own will and
to only do God’s Will in all things.
When we put our care in His hands
He puts His Peace in our hearts.
