Share Your Thoughts on the Future of Transportation in ContraShare Your Thoughts on the Future of Transportation in ContraCosta County Costa County at a Public Open House!at a Public Open House!

The 2017 Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP) provides the overall direction forachieving and maintaining a balanced and functional transportation system within ContraCosta County while strengthening links between land use decisions and transportation. Itoutlines the Contra Costa Transportation Authority's (CCTA) vision for Contra Costa andestablishes goals, strategies, projects, and actions for achieving that vision. The CTP will play an important role in shaping our transportation policy and investmentdecisions over the next two decades. Currently about $3.7 billion in project funding hasbeen identified, which is not enough to meet our long-range transportation needs. The CTPoutlines the strategies that are essential for a smooth transition from vision to reality.

So far, more than 5,000 people from all over Contra Costa have participated in a range ofactivities to inform the CTP. CCTA is now holding an additional phase of engagement toenable the community to weigh in on the 2017 CTP. As a Commissioner for CCTA, Iinvite you to join us at our upcoming public meeting to learn more about the CTP, theprocess to date, and upcoming opportunities to participate in shaping the CTP:
