Welcome to worship! Here in Florida spring cleaning includes preparing for hurricane season. We know life has unplanned and unwanted storms. Allow God to prepare you this morning to weather those storms. Make new friends and deepen your relationship with God, so the anchor will hold in spite of the storms. Once again, welcome!

Practice The Pause When in doubt , pause. When angry, pause. When stressed, pause. And, when you pause…

Pray!

Please lift your neighbors in prayer…

Have you noticed the Library has moved? It is now located between Howard Hall and the Food Pantry. When you come into the office area, turn left and proceed on

down the hall to the last room on the right. You will find a very comfortable and inviting area to browse the books on the shelves. Our policies are the same…you may still check out books, sign your name on the sheet, take the books home, enjoy them; and return them when you are finished. Be sure to check out the new location.

Library Notes by Ruth Lott

I would like to thank everyone that said a prayer for me. I know that I wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t pray-er for me.

On June 18th Heart to Heart donated $250 worth of per-sonal supplies to Guardian Ad Litem in the form of Happy Birthday gift bags! One of the many ways our ladies’ group reaches out to the community!

NOTE: Heart to Heart will not meet in July and August. They will resume their regular meetings September 15th.

EXCUSES

When you are overwhelmed and tired, you can find excuses for not joining a support group. Excuses such as:

I’m not a group type person. “Go anyway,” even if this is the only group you ever attend. Your usual method of coping may not be suffi-

cient. The group will give you additional suggestions on how to cope. Just hearing that someone else deals with similar problems can renew your energy.

I can’t talk to strangers. The people in support groups have faced similar problems and they don’t remain strangers long. If you are shy, just listen the first few times.

I don’t want to seem weak. Getting help does not look like you are weak, it shows you are strong and realize you can’t do it alone.

At our support group here at Hudson First United Methodist Church you will receive care, love, support and a multi-tude of information to help you. We meet the third Tuesday of every month at 10:30am.

God is always with you.

Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 1:8

by Laura Arnold
