EXTRAORDINARY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS OF CARE Urgent need for volunteers
“Loneliness is the most terrible poverty” (Mother Teresa) Have you ever wondered how you would feel if you were unable to attend Mass, receive the Holy Eucharist, or en-joy the fellowship of your parish community? Our Minis-ters of Care have seen this happen to many of our Broth-ers and Sisters in Christ when taking communion to the homebound, assisted living, and care facilities. There are times when they are forgotten by family members, friends and neighborhood communities. Often their par-ish community is the only contact they have with their Catholic faith. God has chosen all of us to share with each other a heart of kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. We have an urgent need for Extra Ordinary Eu-charistic Ministers of Care. For more information, please contact the parish office (480) 838-7474 to learn about this wonderful caring ministry.
“Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody. I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than a person who has nothing to eat.” (Mother Teresa)

Julie Carrick, one of the most effective ministry leaders in the Catholic Church today, brings a passionate message of
faith, hope, and love masterfully woven through her music and personal witness to living the faith. A veteran musician
and composer, Julie has been featured at countless local, diocesan, national and
international events. Julie is a committed witness to the life and love of Jesus
Christ and is sure to touch your heart and soul at Holy Spirit Parish!
Julie Carrick is heard weekly on the Guadalupe
Radio Network at Noon on Mondays as she hosts her program “We Sing Our
Faith” and has been featured on EWTN Backstage and
Life on the Rock and various Catholic TV and
Radio outlets.
Julie is not your typical recording artist. Her real life experiences are shared in her speaking engagements, and formed into the lyric that are
her songs. The workshops she has developed have been
beneficial to thousands of Catholics and other
Christians in their spiritual development. Her witness shares the real heart of a
woman who has experienced some of the toughest things in life and because of her
Catholic faith has stayed the course with Christ. From
dealing with serious marriage issues, helping an adult
daughter through a rape that resulted in pregnancy and
most recently a Lung Cancer survivor, she knows what it means to ‘live’ her Catholic Faith. Though not always ‘easy’ her life has been
blessed with grace when she has needed it most.
