    • Rooms are provided with sheets, blanket, pillow, towel, and washcloth.

  • IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTAll new, transfer and readmit students must submit medically signed proof of two (2) properly administered MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)immunizations OR immune titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, andRubella. Students born before January 1, 1957 are exempt from thisrequirement. This is a requirement for attendance at all South Dakotaregental institutions. Failure to comply will result in a hold on registrationfor any future semester.

    Student Health Clinic and Counseling Services provides assistance, including any needed immunizations, to meet this requirement. The clinic is open for appointments Monday and Friday 8:30 am-noon, Tuesday andThursday 8:30 am-3:00 pm during the summer. Immunizations will be available during Orientation at the clinic located in the Wellness Center. The cost of the MMR immunizations is $62. Meningitis immunizations willalso be available at a cost of $116.

    MODERN LANGUAGE PLACEMENT TESTSModern language placement tests are available for students who have previous knowledge of a modern language (Spanish, German, or French)and plan on taking modern language courses at SDSU. The test places youin an appropriate course level. You will receive credit for the courses up tolevel 202 (101, 102, 201, and 202) after having completed a higher levelcourse with a grade of C or better.

    You may take the test anytime, but we recommend that you take it beforecoming to Orientation. The test is free. Be sure to print off your test resultsand bring them with you to Orientation.

    ADVANCED PLACEMENT FORSPEECH 101Students with prior experience in oral interpretation, debate, theatre,or public speaking activities in organizations such as 4-H, FFCLA, orFFA, may qualify for placement in the Communication Studiescourse ---SPCM 205. Students must apply for advanced placement andwill receive credit for SPCM 101 after having completed the SPCM 205course with a grade of C or better.
