Social Band Association of Free Will Baptists Minutes from the January 12, 2013 Meeting
At Arbor Grove FWBC in Hoxie
On Saturday, July 13th, 2013, the bi-annual meeting of Social Band District met at First Free Will Baptist Church in Jonesboro at 10:00 a.m. Moderator Rev. Randy Scott welcomed everyone to the meeting and asked David Harper to open in prayer. The hymn, "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" was led by Bro. Kevin
Scripture Reading by Bro. Randy was from Psalms 34:4-8 devotional reading was from 1 Cor 12:1-13 about unifying Spirit and one body with many parts. Confess The Same Lord, Depend on the same God, minister to the same body, baptize through Him,
With the Seating of the Delegates, there were Standing 34, and Elected 15 for a total of 49 delegates as the voting body.
There ·were no visitors on this day and no Old Business. In New Business, it was mentioned that the association has a Facebook page and all are The Executive Board report_was given by Rev. Kevin and accepted. There were five
other items of new business M/S/C on each The Examining Board report was given and accepted. Robert Breneman, Stanley
Vandergriff, and Jimmy Daniels were all examined and M/S/C to accept them into the • • assoctatton.
The March for Missions report was given by Bro. Terry Spradlin they had great and the most money ever raised, and he thanked everyone who had a part. Total raised 7,267.65
No Acts 1:8 report. Y outb Committee report was given by Shawn Richards, talked about a back to school
rally updated youth budget total. The Women Active of Christ report contained 2 points of information, District meeting
October 1st State Meeting at Conway on Sept 20th & 21st. The Obituary Report was given by the clerk. Rev. Leroy Scudder led the
commemoration prayer. BRIEF BREAK

Special Music Heather Scarlett -Special Music "No other word for Grace but Amazing" Rev. Nelson Henderson brought the message using the scripture from Romans 9:1-4;10:1,8,14 called God's Provision Gods Plan

Old Business: 1. Speaker for January 11, 2014 will be Bro. Shawn Richards
a. Alternate for January meeting will be Bro. Robert Breneman 2. January 11, 2014 Association meeting will be at First FWB in Walnut Ridge. 3. July 12, 2014 Association meeting will be at Sutton FWB in Pocahontas. 4. Offering for today be designated for the Hillsdale Disaster Relief Fund for the
Oklahoma Tornado damage victims. 5. Spinks Scholarship be awarded to Amy Pickett from Sutton FWB in the
amount of $1,000 for fall semester and if her enrollment continues in the spring, another $1,000 for the spring semester.
New Business: Recommendations from the Executive Board are as follows: 1. Speaker for the July 12, 2014 Association meeting Bro. Robert Breneman
a. Alternate for July to be Bro. Jeb Daniels 2. Request a volunteer church to hold the January lOth 2015 meeting
3. Offering to go to Truth and Peace 4. Executive Board recommends the following budget

Social Band Youth Board
Meeting Date: December 22, 2013
Attendees: Shawn Richards, Laura Richards, Toby Spradlin, Christi Spradlin, Shane Baker
Agenda: To plan a joint service for youth in grades 7th- 12th
The meeting was held on Sunday, December 22°d, at Dixie Cafe in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Shawn Richards suggested having a youth rally for youth in grades 7th -12th. All board members were in agreement to have the youth rally. The following

plans were made:
• The event will consist of a meal, activities, and service.
• Shawn Richards will oversee promotional details.
• Christi Spradlin will contact possible guest speakers. Suggested speakers are Don Matchett, Brian Kesterson, and Toby Spradlin. -
• Shane Baker will check about the possibility of ordering pizza at a reduced cost.
• The location of the event will be First Free Will Baptist Church in Jonesboro on Friday, August 22, 2014.
