AIESEC’s Scope AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Our members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national, ethnic or social origin.

AIESEC is the global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences. AIESEC has been facilitating youth leadership activities as well as international internships & volunteer experiences for over 65 years, developing a global learning environment across 124 countries & territories.

§  What is Global Youth Ambassador Programme?

It is an opportunity for young people to develop entrepneural and responsible leadership qualities and skills. A young ambassador travels accross the world to go through a cultural learning experience while working for projects and NGO’s that aim to create positive impact in society based on specific issues.

Why You should go on exchange? Go exchange is excellent ways to: 1.  Enrich your academic year with an

international experience abroad 2.  Have a strong network with other young

people from the other part of the world 3.  Gain more cultural understanding and

create positive impact to the society 4.  Travel abroad while doing a social

project abroad 5.  Develop leadership and entrepreneural

skill 6.  Experience working in an international

environment 7.  Get an exchange cetificate from AIESEC

Participating in GYAP enhances independence, increases communication skills, and facillitates immersion in a different culture. Learn things about the world you never dream before.

Who Can participate in this program? -  Any university students or recent

graduates (within 2 years) between 18-30 years old.

-  Student who has open-mindedness and interest towards other culture.

-  Student who pass our selection process

-  University marks and TOEFL/IELTS are not considered.

§  Pre Internship Budget §  Selection Process:

§  FGD : Rp65,000 §  Interview : RP85,000

§  Exchange Administration Fee: §  Raising : Rp1,500,000 (Paid once you get accepted as an

Exchange Participant)

§  Matched : Rp1,000,000 ( Paid once you are officially accepted as an intern for a project abroad)

We are a non-for profit organization, so these fees cover the costs of reception, and maintaiing our international database. Students are encouraged to apply for fellowships to offset these costs.

Internship Budgets The cost will vary, depends on your country destination. Here are the things that you should cover during your exchange period: -  Return ticket -  Visa and travel insurance -  Travelling cost in your country destination -  Basic needs for food, transportation, and leisure Accommodation and food are usually provided by the Host AIESEC Country depends on the project you have chosen. Accommodation can be in the form of host family, dormitory, apartment, or hostel.

§  Grow Project is a long term (2010-2015) non-formal education project which is addressed to the Romanian high-school students. It offers them a professionally-designed, educational curriculum which is complementary to the formal education system. The Exchange Participants will be the trainers for the high school students.
