Happy New YearDear Residents,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the South Jordan Leisure Guide and introduce you to the 2013 program, event, and activity calendar. South Jordan is a great community to live in and its continued growth demonstrates its attractiveness to many, both young and old. Each day we strive to improve the quality of life in South Jordan by providing recreation and leisure activities for all ages.

South Jordan provides a variety of group and individual fitness and recreation programs at its Fitness & Aquatic Center.

Come to Mulligans Golf & Game for a round of miniature golf, practice hitting balls in the batting cages, play golf on two 9-hole golf courses, take golf lessons, participate in a league or tournament, or practice your golf swing on the driving range year round.

At the Gale Center of History & Culture, learn about and experience the rich history of South Jordan. Families can also enjoy activities through the Terrific Tuesday program and Arts at the Gale.

The Community Center hosts a variety of daily programs for seniors, age 60 and better.

South Jordan also hosts several community special events throughout the year. Enjoy these events with friends and neighbors.

During the coming year watch for specific program and event announcements in this Tri-Annual Leisure Guide, as well as, monthly in the FOCUS located in the South Valley Journal, Recreation E-newsletter, South Jordan City App, South Jordan Twitter or the South Jordan City website (www.sjc.utah.gov). Make sure you tell your friends and neighbors about all that’s happening in South Jordan and we hope to see you throughout the year!

Best Regards,

Don TingeyDirector of Community Services
