District Pastoral Transitions
OAK HILL NAZARENE It was a joy to experience the presence of the Lord on October 14th at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene as we officially in-stalled Rev. Dan Cupp as lead pastor.
We enjoyed great fellowship, uplifting music, and Pastor Dan shared a very passionate message about boldly moving into the future with vision and a sense of focus, strategy, and mis-
sion. We are so excited about and hopeful for the future of Oak Hill Nazarene!
BLUEFIELD NAZARENE
Pastor Sherrill and Diana Michael is the new pastor at our Blue-field First Church and will begin his ministry there on December 29th.
He has served at Roanoke First Church of the Nazarene in Virginia as an Associate Pastor for the last 9 years.
Welcome Pastor Sherrill and Diana! We’re so glad you’re part of our district family. Go WVSNAZ!
CALVARY NAZARENE
Pastor Jim and Cheryl Ellis is the newly elected pastor at our Charleston Calvary Church and will begin his ministry there on January 5.
He has served at Mannington Church of the Nazarene for the last 5 years and prior to that at Point Pleasant and

Formerly known as Youth & Mission Re-treat, SERVE weekend is a Weekend of
giving, loving, and serving the capitol city. A hand on opportunity for the youth to partici-
pate in missions locally.
Our SERVE WEEKEND is February 28 & 29, 2020. We will begin with a “Kickoff” Ser-vice on Friday night, February 28th, at 6:30 pm at the Charleston Southeast Church.
There will be exciting worship, a message from our district NYI Leader Mark Ice, and assignments announced for Saturday, February 29th. A Pizza Party will immediately follow the service! On Saturday Morning, February 29th, at 9:00 am, we will gather at the Southeast Church to be Commissioned as Missionaries to go out and serve in various locations throughout the Kanawha Valley. We will re-turn to the Charleston Southeast Church at 11:45 am to report about our projects and to celebrate! Lunch will be served after the service - before everyone heads home! The cost is $30 per person - this in-cludes meals, t-shirts, insurance, supplies, etc. We are unable to pro-vide housing for the night - but if you would like help in securing hous-ing for your group, please let Robin Smith know at 304-444-1252.
