Dental Tip of the Month.

[email protected]

Hello Friends Bleeding gums has become a pandemic in this country. Why do gums bleed? The main reason the gums bleed is due to plaque being left in the crevices of the gums. Plaque occurs when living bacteria feed off your gums due to food or debris being left there. These bacteria colonize and irritate the gums. This plaque eventually becomes hard as a rock, which we call calculus. Once it becomes calcu-lus, you won’t be able to remove it. Only a dentist will be able to. This calculus can play a big part in the gums receding. Some other reasons gums can bleed is due to brushing very hard with a toothbrush. Another reason can be due to people using toothpicks, which can severely damage the gums. If you suffer from bleeding gums see your dentist immediately. They can prevent gum disease from ever taking place and, worse, spreading. Bleeding gums has led to this dangerous bacteria getting in your body and causing heart diseases and complications in the fetus.

The se-verity of an asthma attack can vary greatly, from slight breathlessness to respiratory failure.Commonsymptomsincludewheez-ing,adrycoughandtightnessinthechest. Attacks may be brought on by an allergic response, a respiratory infection, tobacco smoke, air pollutants, anxiety or stress. Exer-ciseinducedasthma(EIA)isusuallybroughton by vigorous aerobic activity.Exercising with Asthma Despite the fact that asthma may be brought on by aerobic activity, exercise may stillbeadesirableoptionformanyasthmat-ics.Researchindicatesthatastoleranceforphysical exertion is built up over time, it is less likely that an asthmatic will experience anattackduringexercise. And, inadditionto reducing the risk of developingmanyotherdiseases, appropriateexercisecanhelpasthmaticsreducestress, sleepbetterandfeelmoreenergized. ð Take extra time to warm up before exer-cising.Aprolongedperiodof low-levelaerobic activity will help prepare your bodyforhigher-intensityexercise.

ð Exercise toward the lower endof yourtarget heart rate. Exercises such as walk-ing or swimming are great for asthmatics becausetheyarelowintensityandmaybedoneforlongerperiodsoftime.Thosewho wish to participate in higher-intensity exercise, such as runningor fast-pacedsports, should slowly increase intensity

raftsmanship. It’s a concept sometimes lost in today’s world of large home building companies. Ryan Custom Homes understands the importance of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Company founder, David Perry, personally oversees every aspect of the construction of each home.
