Explanations about the practising of the plan

Name: Margarita Petrova
School: Secondary school “St Kiryl and St Methodius”
Grade: 8th grade
Time: 45 minutes
Main aims:
To develop speaking, listening and co-operative skills.
Subsidiary aims:
By the end of the lesson students should be able to use the newly introduced theme and vocabulary (E.g. blind date) and to make certain assumptions for outer people`s choices.
Personal pedagogical aims:
To develop our ability to communicate with the students, to achieve a closer teacher-student bond; to entertain them while teaching the new material.
Assumptions:
Assuming that the topic of the lesson is interesting and fun, it will predispose the students to a good discussion and we expect most of them to participate in the activities.
Anticipated problems:
Students may not be familiar with game like Blind Date because such shows are not so popular on Bul-garian TV. Students may feel uneasy to speak openly and express opinions in front of their classmates. They might take a bit too long making up the answers to the questions.
Planed solutions to these problems:
First we will try to elicit the concept of this show from students who may have seen such TV shows and then we will read the extract from the text book which explains best the idea of the game. Before ask-ing the students to come out and speak in front of the class, we`ll do a pair work exercise where they will discuss whit each other the same questions, which would make it a lot easier when they come out in front of the class and they would not take so much time giving these answers.
Materials /Equipment/ Aids:
Course book (Inside Out: Upper-intermediate), Macmillan Publishers Ltd, cassette player, blackboard
Background of the lesson:
The previous class was about word building and word stress. The next class will be about unreal condi-tional clauses (alternatives to if).

They should find the information and decide if they were right. The teacher monitors work of each pair.
Feedback - the teacher reads questions aloud and the students give possible answers to them.
Exercise 2
Each Student chooses one piece of paper previously prepared by the teacher. On each paper is
one of the following topics: EDUCATION, THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY, RELIGION and FAMILY LIFE.
According to the chosen topic, students are divided into 4 groups. Each group is asked to gather infor-

Subject: Food with antioxidants
Level: Class A3
Teaching methodology: Decoupage
Preparation: Before Christmas the students were asked to gat her glass jars and bot t les that normally would
go to recycling. At t he same time t hey asked t o keep ribbons and other element s of t he Christmas decor. After I gave them a list of that contain antioxidants and I asked t o find napkins to show some
food from them, like fruits, wine, olive oil etc. Next action: After Christmas the students brought to school everything that they gathered. They were divided into groups which would bring something different (scissors, brushes, newspapers, paints). I had to buy some additional napkins, an atlakol, primer and varnish specifically for the method.
We were covered all the objectives with primer and left t hem dry in the class’ closet for 2 days.
In practice: We made 4 teams of 5 persons. We distributed t he glue to cups of yogurt we gathered and gave one to each team. Each child has his own recyclable item and choose the napkin he likes. I gave instructions, ideas and help each group separate. After the end we let our things dry for a week.
Între colegi
Page 13
Next: Next week we painted and decorated our products with acrylic paints. We let them dry again. Next day we varnished to make them waterproof. After that some students made marmalades from different fruits, of course full of antioxidants! Results: The kids have fun with that process and learn that nothing is throw away. Students, who are not doing good in the course, have given the opportunity to made considera-
ble efforts and present a good project. After this workshop and the process to collect all the materials, especially the napkins, pupil
learned very well what food contains antioxidants. Conclusions: Everyone, me and my pupil, enjoyed very much. Decoupage in a classroom needs very good organization and has got a cost. We needed 4 teaching hours. The learning objective was achieved successfully. The finished objectives sold in a bazaar and that with the money pupil will visit the museum of
gastronomy.

mediului
Elevii identifică, drept sursă principală a suferinţei Terrei, POLUAREA.

O2 O1
“Ce putem obţine din…”
Elevii sunt organizaţi în trei grupuri. Fiecare grup primeşte:
câte un “deşeu”, materialul diferind de la un grup la altul(plastic, carton, aluminiu);

5. Feed-back Dacă aș putea!
