CALLFORPAPERSABOUTTHECONFERENCEFollowingonfromtheverysuccessfulConferenceheldinFebruary2016,theSouthAfricanInstituteofElectricalEngineers(SAIEE)willbehostingathe2ndSAIEESmartGridConferencefromthe19thtothe21stSeptember2017attheEskomConferenceCentreinMidrand.Theprogramforthisyear’sConferencehasbeenextendedtoincludeamuchwiderecosystemassociatedwithSmartGrids.TopicssuchasSmartCities,SmartUtilities,theFourthIndustrialRevolution,theInternetofThings,andanumberofotherassociatedtopics,havebeenaddedinordertoprovideaninsightfulandstimulatingprogram.Keynoteandplenaryspeakingslotshavealsobeenextendedtoincludeworld-classandesteemedexpertsfromIndia,ChinaandotherdevelopingcountriesthatarecurrentlymakingsignificantprogressinthedeploymentofSmartGridsandotherassociatedtechnologies.THEMEANDTOPICSThethemeforthisyear’sConferenceis“ServiceDeliveryforaSmarterAfrica”.Onthebasisofthistheme,thefollowingisanindicativelistoftopicsforpresentation.Itisbynomeansrestrictiveandanyadditionaltopicsthatparticipantsmaywishtoaddwillbeconsideredforinclusion.
