Hi Parents, Carers and Friends of Greenwich Public School
Landscaping and building in the new playground area on Kingslangley Rd campus have moved rapidly
ahead this week. The corner of the oval designated for this has been a hive of activity and it is exciting
to see the progress each day. Here are some photos taken this morning:

The timeline for when the work will be finished is obviously dependant on the weather and conditions of
the ground. I would like to be able to tell you all the demountable classrooms have been removed but
not yet! There are still several to go.
Work has also begun on the new fence along our school’s boundary on River Rd.
Return of school-based programs by external providers
Next term will see the recommencement of the following programs provided before and after school:
Training and Concert Band
String Ensemble

Greenwich PS 3-6 Cross Country – Next Friday 26 June (weather permitting)
This is a reminder that next Friday 26 June, Greenwich Public School will hold
3-6 Cross Country Carnival events during school hours at Bob Campbell Oval
(weather permitting). Due to COVID-19, all official Zone, Regional and State
Cross Country Carnivals have been suspended, however, this carnival will
determine the school champions in the Junior and Senior categories. Ribbons
will be awarded to students in each of the 8/9, 10, 11 and 12/13 Years age
groups. This will be a closed event as parents are not yet able to attend school
events due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Students should come to school on the day wearing their full sports uniform and ensure that they bring
with them a hat, recess and plenty of fluids. Lunch orders will be available on the day as the events will
take place after the first break. Students will walk to and from Bob Campbell Oval by foot, returning back
to school before the end of the day.

AWARDS Kindergarten Merit Awards Bronze Awards
KSL Kindergarten have begun short assemblies each week. This week it was KSL’s turn to run it! Our SRC
members Zara and Hugo did a fantastic job reading on the microphone and leading the whole assembly.
The class presented our watercolour self-portraits! Well done to the children who were awarded with merit
awards or bronze awards.
