This Hydraulic Fracturing Code of Conduct is a set of commitments being made by companies participating in the Working Energy Commitment, describing how this sector of our industry operates as key players in the responsible and sustainable development of Canada’s oil and natural gas resources.

Participatingcompaniesstrivetodeliverthebestvaluetoourstakeholders,includingtheresourceowner,directcustomers,ourshareholdersandemployees,andtheresidentsandlocalcommunitiesinwhichwework.Ourcollectivegoalistoensureoperationalexcellence,focusingonreducingourenvironmentalimpactandmaximizingthedevelopmentofCanada’svastresources,whiledeliveringlong-termsocialbenefitsinamannerthatsupportstheinterestsofallstakeholders.

CanadianAssociationofPetroleumProducer’s(CAPP)HydraulicFracturingGuidingPrinciplesandOperatingPractices,includingthoserelatedtowatersourcing,haulinganddisposal,aswellaswellboreintegrityfortheprotectionofgroundwater.

• Continuetodevelopacultureofenvironmentalstewardshipamongstourworkers.

FRACTURING FLUID DISCLOSUREWe will…• Provideourcustomerswithalistofadditivesusedinfracturingfluidsthatmeetsallindustryrequirements,

andencouragetheuseofpublicdisclosuremechanismssuchasFracFocus, in the interest of transparency.

third-partyauditsofoursafetypractices.• Committocontinuousimprovementanddevelopmentofbestpracticesinhealthandsafety• Provideongoingandspecializedtrainingtoourworkforceinbothoperationsandhealthandsafety.• Continuetoenhanceoursafetymanagementpracticesonanorganization-widebasis,whichsupportsa

safetyculturethatpermeatesourentireorganizationtop-downandbottom-up.• ImplementEmergencyResponseProcedures(ERPs)thatsupporteveryaspectofhydraulicfracturing,
