COACHING STAFFHead Coach, Rob ChudzinskiPro Career: Rob Chudzinski was named the14th full-time head coach in Browns history onJanuary 10, 2013. Chudzinski comes to theteam after spending the past two seasons asthe Carolina Panthers’ offensive coordinator.Chudzinski re-joins the Browns organization,where he spent the 2004 season as tight endscoach and 2007-08 as offensive coordinator. In2007, he orchestrated Cleveland’s best offensein terms of total yards (5,621), passing yards(3,726) and points scored (402) since theclub’s return in 1999. With the Panthers in2011 Chudzinski tutored Cam Newton, whobecame the first rookie in NFL history to throwfor 4,000 yards. The Panthers also became thefirst team in league history with three 700-yardrushers in DeAngelo Williams (836), JonathanStewart (761) and Newton (706). Prior toCarolina, Chudzinski had two stints with theSan Diego Chargers (2005-06 and 2009-10).From 1994-2003, Chudzinski coached at theUniversity of Miami. During his three seasonsas offensive coordinator (2001-03), theHurricanes played in a BCS Bowl game eachyear, including two National Championshipappearances. Career record: 0-0.Background: Chudzinski played tight end atMiami from 1986-1990, was a three-yearstarter and a member of two national champi-onship teams (1987 and 1989). He graduatedwith a B.A. in business administration in 1990and went on to earn his MBA in 1996.
