Video Posting Process
Now that we’ve moved to Energy.gov, our process for uploading videos is slightly different. So we’ve updated the Videos page on Communication Standards to make the new process clear:
eere.energy.gov/communicationstandards/videos.html
We used to have two options for posting—YouTube or the EERE video skin. Now we’re using YouTube for everything.
7
Video Posting Process
First, ask your site’s development team to create a caption file. CSS is YouTube’s recommended one, but many formats work.
Send Andrew Doyle at ActioNet:• The video• The title of the video• A short, one-paragraph description of the video. (This will be used
for the video summary on YouTube.)• The caption file.
Then your video will be posted. Once it’s online, remember to create a separate page for the text version and link to that along with the video. You can read more about text versions here:
eere.energy.gov/communicationstandards/text_versions.html
