CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

In November of each year, AgriGrowth holds its Annual Meeting and Conference, drawing nearly 500 attendees, including leaders from across the spectrum of Minnesota’s diverse food and agricultural sector, state and federal government officials, and academia.

Described by many as the premier event for Minnesota’s food systems and ag industry, the Annual Meeting and Conference provide unparalleled networking, and expert level speakers talking about relevant global and macro-level topics and trends. The conference kicks off Wednesday evening with a pre-conference reception, allowing members and guests to get a head-start on networking. In addition to relevant content and networking, the recipient of AgriGrowth’s Distinguished Service Award is announced during Thursday’s luncheon and attendees’ wrap-up the conference at a post-conference reception. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THIS YEARS’ AGENDA If you enjoyed last years’ keynote speaker, Peter Zeihan, you are sure to be delighted with our 2016 conference keynote speaker, Dr. Vikram Mansharamani. Dr. Mansharamani will apply a multi-lens approach to the rapidly-changing global economy to help attendees understand the implication of these changes on Minnesota’s agriculture and food sectors.”

As an active participant in the financial markets for the last 20 years, Mansharamani's experience includes positions in management consulting, investment banking, and asset management. He is a Yale professor, globally sought-after advisor, key note speaker, television commentator and radio guest and author of “Boombustology: Spotting Financial Bubbles Before They Burst. “(2011)

Dr. Mansharamani’s opinions have been featured in venues including the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, and the Harvard Business Review. He writes and speaks about managing risk and navigating uncertainty around such topics as: China, food, the global economy, financial bubbles, and energy.
