To do this work we must be engaged in the ongoing formation of our souls—in the growing of faith, hope and love—the stewardship of life. The Church through the United States celebrates the Catechetical Sunday today, September 17, 2017. This year the theme of the Catechetical Sunday is "Living as Missionary Disciples" Those who the Community has designated to serve as catechists and teachers of religious education were called forth at the 9 AM and 1 PM Mass-es to be commissioned for their ministry. Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededi-cate themselves to this mission as a community of faith.
