ADORATION ADORACIÓN
Thursday / Jueves 9AM to 6PM
Last week, at our Ministry Mingle, the par-ish, that is you and I, continued to seek out ways to serve God as a Catholic communi-ty. It is often a challenge to step out of our comfort zone and hear Jesus speak, “When he had finished speaking, he said to Si-mon, "Put out into deep water, and let
down the nets for a catch."” (Lk 5:4) It is this call to move forward in service of God that we must respond to over and over again.
Matthew Kelly in Rediscover Jesus reminds us of the reality that can consume parish life when we become unwilling to go out into the deep. “Christians should be the ultimate people of possibility. But too often we are people of impossibility. Suggest that something new or different be done in your community and often all you will hear are reasons why it can’t be done. “We don’t have enough money.” “Too many other things are going on.” “It won’t work.” “People won’t come.” “We’ve tried it be-fore.”” (p 182) (Continued page 5...)
"No tenemos suficiente dinero." "Muchas otras cosas están sucediendo." "No va a funcionar." "La gente no vendrá." "Lo he-mos probado antes." "(P 182) (Continúa en la página 5...)

Election Prayer
Lord God, as the election approaches, we seek to better understand the issues and concerns that con-front our city/state/country, and how the Gospel com-pels us to respond as faithful citizens in our communi-ty.
We ask for eyes that are free from blindness so that we might see each other as brothers and sis-ters, one and equal in dignity, especially those who are victims of abuse and violence, deceit and poverty.
We ask for ears that will hear the cries of children un-born and those abandoned, Men and women op-pressed because of race or creed, religion or gender.
We ask for minds and hearts that are open to hearing the voice of leaders who will bring us closer to your Kingdom.
We pray for discernment so that we may choose lead-ers who hear your Word, live your love, and keep in the ways of your truth as they follow in the steps of Jesus and his Apostles and guide us to your Kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this in the name of your Son Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

¿A quién inspiraste hoy?” (p 190) Que Dios los bendiga, El Padre Mark
(Pastor’s Notes Continued form page 1) We are continually challenged to look for greater possibilities and optimism trusting in the generosity of God and how we are called to respond to this abundance with hope and joy. “Would the Holy Spirit ever bear this pessimism? Pessimism belongs to the slaves of this world, not to the children of God.” (p 183)
As you continue to ask the question of how you and we as a parish are called to share of our time, talent and treasure and how are we witnessing Jesus and inspiring others to seek Jesus in their lives. In doing this it is vital that we take time in prayer, listening to God’s voice in our hearts. Choosing to “Allow God to inspire you, to fill you with his power, because he wants to send you out to inspire others. Whom did you inspire to-day?” (p 187) God Bless, Fr. Mark
