, This booklet is meant to give you the necessary instructions to have the best and the smoothest application process possible. All the application components are explained below. Remember that each component is designed to bring out who you are in a blend of the personal you and the professional you to capture your

potential and the strength of your stand as an MCP applicant.

• Active AIESEC Member • Recent Alumni (finished last AIESEC role in the last 6 months) • Maltese Nationality * OR • EU country nationality OR • Nationality from a country that is part of the Schengen agreement OR • Nationality from country that has VISA Free access to Schengen countries for 90 days. *Applicants who can provide documentation stating that they have the right and ability to stay in Malta until June 30th 2017 are kindly requested to approach the current MCP for verification on whether he/she is eligible to apply.

1. Candidates may withdraw their application at any point within the process.

2. Candidates have the right to request and receive any form of information relating to the application process given that it does not bias them more favour than the other applicants.

3. The Election process is run on the values of transparency, integrity and honesty. All applicants and candidates are held accountable to display these values and any violation of these values will result in a withdrawal of the applicant/candidate from the process.

APPLICATION PACKAGE NOTES:

There are a total of seven (7) components to the application. Make sure you create a separate PDF document for your: MCP Candidacy Video, Executive

Summary, CV, MCP Application Questionnaire, Blank Paper Challenge, Endorsement Letters and Signed Release. We will be expecting a total of ten (10) PDF files.

This is a video to introduce yourself – the content is all up to you. The only limitation is that the maximum time of the video is five (5) minutes. The

video has to be made public and uploaded to youtube.com. The link has to be included in a .PDF format in the Application Package.

A one page (1) summary of your entire application.

A maximum two page (2) updated and complete CV.

o The Questionnaire can be found in this document on page 4. o All questions must be answered and the maximum length of the questionnaire is twelve (12) A4 pages. A cover page (1) is not included in the page count. o The Questionnaire needs to be typed. o All questions are to be answered in English. o Include question numbers next to your answers so it is clear what question you are answering. o You are free and encouraged to format and design the Questionnaire as you wish as long as the page is A4 format, with a minimum font size of 10, and respecting the

twelve (12) page count.

To be considered, all letters should endorse the applicant for the position of MCP of AIESEC in Malta, clearly state from which perspective the writer is

endorsing the applicant, must be signed,have an email-contact and a signature. Current MC 15.16 members are not able to provide endorsements. The

following endorsement letters are required:

o One from someone you led in AIESEC

o One from someone who led you in AIESEC

o One from someone who was/is a co-worker in AIESEC

o One from an external who may or may not be associated with AIESEC

The signed release is required as acknowledgement from the applicant that AIESEC in Malta may distribute the applications with the National AIESEC in

Malta plenary for the purpose of the election process. The Signed Release template can be found on page 5 of this document.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION & DEADLINE

The complete application package should include all of the above in one .zip or .rar file and sent to Roberta

Buhagiar on [email protected]. The name of the file should be Surname_Name_MCP_Malta_1617.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

& : All applications are reviewed. Applications that are sent within the deadline and which are complete

proceed with the process. Official candidates are announced and the Interview time is set and confirmed.

A formal interview will be carried out by a board composed of MCP 15.16, representatives from the MC and EB, an alumnus representative as well as a

partner representative. Candidates are assessed on a number of criteria using a point system and candidates who achieve a minimum amount of set points proceed to

the Elections Session. Results are launched on the day.

The Elections Session is the formal voting stage where the plenary comes together to vote. A tentative agenda for the elections session can be

found below. Results and the official MCPe 16.17 are launched on the day.

Panel discussion relating to world issues 30 -40 min

Closing Speeches 3 min /per candidate

Throughout the entire process candidates can at any point in time get in touch with Roberta (MCP 15.16) via [email protected] for any questions. Any relevant information or updates will be immediately forwarded to candidates to ensure a smooth and efficient process

Nationality, Current country and city of residence, Current AIESEC Position & AIESEC entity, Email Address, Skype ID, Phone

2. Describe the following AIESEC roles and experiences:

o Up to 3 main AIESEC roles you have had: Include title of position, overview of JD, details of entity/LC, duration, main

outcomes of the experience as well as key MOSs achieved.

o Up to 3 main AIESEC Conference experiences (Chair/FACI/Delegate): Include type of experience, overview of the purpose

and target of the conference, main outputs and outcomes as a result of you attending that conference.

3. What is driving you to continue in AIESEC? Why have you decided to stand for President of AIESEC in Malta? How does

this experience link with your personal aspirations?

4. What does AIESEC in Malta give to Malta? How can AIESEC in Malta become Malta’s Primary Youth Leadership Movement

over the next 5 years? What is the relevance of such a movement?

5. Provide an accurate analysis of the current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of AIESEC in Malta.

Regarding strengths and weaknesses, analyse the current products run by AIESEC in Malta. Regarding opportunities and

threats, analyse current social, political and economic trends in Malta and key external stakeholders that affect AIESEC in

Malta.

6. Propose 3 primary strategies for the Term 16.17 as well as an implementation plan per strategy.

7. Outline tentative goals for term 16.17 for each ELD programme. Outline clearly your proposed focus programme/s for

term 16.17.

8. Based on your proposed strategies for Term 16.17 – outline your suggested MC structure for the term. Include

MCVPs, MC Managers as well as NSTs. Include whether you consider international or local pipeline per position.

9. What currently defines the organizational culture in AIESEC in Malta 2015? Within the context of the AIESEC 2020

mid-term ambition, describe the evolution in organizational culture and behavior that you would strive for throughout the

Term 16.17.

10. Propose a Vision for AIESEC in Malta at the end of the Term 16.17. Why should AIESEC in Malta aspire and strive

with you to achieve this vision?
