Planning

• Staff plan a mix of adult led and child initiated activities

• Staff observe children in their self initiated play and then make best fit judgements on Development by referring to the EYFS Guidance

• Judgements are used to inform planning so that it is closely linked to the children's developmental needs and interests

• Each child is assigned a key person

Key Person Role

• Ensures learning and individual needs are catered for

• Supports needs of parents of children in their care

• Refers parents to specialist support if needed e.g. speech therapy
