A MESSAGE FROM
Dear Brothers and Sisters In Christ,
Baquet, Eucharist, Respect Life Foretaste of our Communion with God.
Recall a memorable great banquet in your lifetime. If
not, feel free to create an ideal place or invitation that
you wanted to be a part of. How the owner of the ban-
quet himself could lavishly surpass all our hopes and
joy, sharing their happiness with us. This is an image the Father
would paint to describe His Kingdom. A Mansion prepared for us
at the Father’s house.
Our readings have similarities. Isaiah uses a banquet; Jesus uses a
wedding celebration to capture all this wonder and joy for us to
remember forever. For those who respond to this invitation, the
Lord promises “I will be with you forever”, “I will not leave you or-
phans.” He invites us to come out of love with Him. As we acclaim
in the Psalms: “…living in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.”
There are two puzzles that are spoiling the banquet. One is, Guests
who do not want to come, and the other is the man without the
wedding garment. To this day, this invitation remains of less im-
portance, therefore, the quality of reverence and giving “honor to
owner” is undermined. How do we honor someone if we keep on
rejecting them? What virtue or behavior do we display while par-
ticipating in the Mass as the Lord invites us to the sacred mystery
of faith?
Take a second look at the Lord’s invitation to join Him in a Banquet.
This time a banquet that nourishes our advocacy to Respect life in
this Month of the Holy Rosary, should we place our thoughts and
actions together in honoring God and His creation? My thoughts
and prayers to our dedicated volunteers who quietly work & sup-
port the pregnancy centers, prison ministries, and health facilities in
promoting & defending human life at all levels. While our theology
teaches us about the eternal promise of joy, it also warns us of los-
ing that promise unless we allow the providence of God to trans-
form and renew us into His likeness. While this communion is open
for all it is also meant to be shared.
Many will be called yet only a few are willing to do it the right
way. “To our God and Father, glory forever and ever.” (St Paul)
Fr. David Vivero
Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo,
Banquete, Eucaristía, Respeto Por La Vida El Anticipo de Nuestra Comunión con Dios
Recuerden un banquete memorable en su vida. Si no, sién-
Nuestras lecturas tienen similitudes.
para la boda. Hasta hoy en día, la invitación es de menos importancia;
¿Debemos juntar nuestros pen-
y renueve a Su Semejanza.
(San Pablo)

For Your Day
od gives us an invitation to have an
abundant life. The banquet is ready, and the tables are set. Come! There is so much to attend to in the everydayness of our lives. We have plans, after all. There is nev-er enough time and so much that needs to be done. There is work, children, and grandchildren, paying the bills, planning for retirement, figuring out the details of our next vacation, making sure we are on top of our game with work, planning social engagements, answering emails, texts, and getting our latest pictures on Facebook. There is always something. What is this about some banquet?
I need another party and commitment like
a hole in the head. I can’t manage what I
already have, and someone is asking me to
do more! Seriously? I saw the invitation; I
think it came in the mail the other day. Did
I leave it on the table? Oh wait, it may have
gotten thrown away. I can’t remember. In
any case, I’m managing things pretty well
on my own, I think. Thanks for thinking of
me, but no thanks. My life is only as good
as I make it and I have to be sure that all is
in order! Oh, another invitation came to-
day! This guy’s being persistent. Now, I’m
getting angry. I wish he would just leave
me alone and stop with this invitation non-
sense.
I woke up feeling a bit unsettled this morn-
ing. The kids have left the house, the
grandchildren are busy with their lives, my
retirement fund is losing ground,
I’m worried about my
health, folks have
moved away, and I find
myself alone. I am un-
happy. I remember
getting an invitation
some time ago to a ban-
quet promising new life
and life in abundance.
Did I miss something? I
think I may have. I am

Faith Formation Update
On Friday 9/25/20, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that Florida would
move into Phase 3 of reopening, thereby rolling back many pandemic
related restrictions put in place earlier this year. However, the Diocese of
Orlando has asked Parishes to continue with the guidelines and policies
that have successfully protected parishioners returning to church.
All Souls parishioners should continue observing the precautions that
help to reduce the chances of potential exposure and keep us all safer.
That means common sense practices such as staying home if you’re sick,
washing hands, social distancing, wearing masks indoors, and follow-
ing the directions of ministers of hospitality at church. We thank all our
faithful Mass attendees for their outstanding cooperation, and care for
their brothers and sisters in these extraordinary times.

A Peek At The High-Tech Classroom Of This Fall
Have you wondered what it’s like in the technology enabled classrooms of this Fall,
where children can attend in-person or online? Many parents are finding the class-
room has become a part of their family room or office room, as their children do school
lessons from home. Some children are simply given their assignments once a day, and
then left to carry them out as best they can. Other children are lucky enough to attend a school
such as All Souls, where they are personally attended to, whether in the classroom or online.
All Souls is using advanced technology to immerse children in their classroom experiences. The
new “Swivel” cameras in the classrooms automatically follow teachers as they move about the
classroom, allowing children online to feel a part of the activities. In turn, the children at home
can speak with and interact with the teacher and/or the other children in the classroom.
Assignments are viewable by all through the means of a large, interactive screen that has
taken the place of the chalkboard of old. These screens function just like touch-screen comput-
ers, bringing all classroom resources to a child’s fingertips. Children and teachers alike, can
select assignments, access class subjects, open audio books, launch multiple reference re-
sources, and even connect with other classrooms in the school. And, to top it off... it’s full of
colorfully fun graphics and looks really cool!
But, at heart, All Souls is about the people and children, not just technology. It’s the personal
attention and care that the children receive that matters the most. Everyone, from the “Resource
Teachers”, Guidance Counselor, Office Staff and Principal, to the many dedicated teachers, are
all focused on one thing... helping ALL Souls children to successfully navigate recent changes,
while providing them with an excellent education. At this school, it’s not a cliché to say they
truly care for and love
their students.

T eresa lived in an age of
exploration as well as politi-cal, social, and religious up-heaval. It was the 16th centu-ry, a time of turmoil and reform. She
was born before the Protestant Reformation and died almost 20 years after the closing of the Council of Trent.
The gift of God to Teresa in and through which she became holy
and left her mark on the Church and the world is threefold: She was
a woman; she was a contemplative; she was an active reformer.
As a woman, Teresa stood on her own two feet, even in the man’s
world of her time. She was “her own woman,” entering the Car-
melites despite strong opposition from her father. She is a person
wrapped not so much in silence as in mystery. Beautiful, talented,
outgoing, adaptable, affectionate, courageous, enthusiastic, she
was totally human. Like Jesus, she was a mystery of paradoxes:
wise, yet practical; intelligent, yet much in tune with her experi-
ence; a mystic, yet an energetic reformer; a holy woman, a woman-
ly woman. Teresa was a woman “for God,” a woman of prayer,
discipline, and compassion. Her heart belonged to God.
Teresa was a woman “for others.” Though a contemplative, she
spent much of her time and energy seeking to reform herself and
the Carmelites, to lead them back to the full observance of the
primitive Rule. She founded over a half-dozen new monasteries.
She traveled, wrote, fought—always to renew, to reform. In her
self, in her prayer, in her life, in her efforts to reform, in all the
people she touched, she was a woman for others, a woman who
inspired and gave life.
Her writings, especially the Way of Perfection and The Interior Cas-
tle, have helped generations of believers.
In 1970, the Church gave her the title she had long held in the pop-
ular mind: Doctor of the Church. She and St. Catherine of Siena
were the first women so honored.

Faith Formation Updates
FIRST RECONCILIAITON/ FIRST EUCHARIST PREPARATION If you have a child(ren) that is in their second year of faith for-mation, in grade two or higher, and currently attending ASCS or parish program, Parent Meetings have begun for immediate prep-aration. If you feel you have a child(ren) who is ready for immedi-ate preparation (within these guidelines) but have not received information from the parish about preparation please contact Hol-ly (English) or Beatriz (Spanish) at the parish office 407.322.3795 for additional information.
FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM
FAITH FORMAITON is in full swing. Thank you to all those fami-lies who have registered and committed to program. All Souls is here for you and your family. If you are not participating in pro-gram this year, you are greatly missed. You are invited to consider the Family + Faith Program as an option for your family. It’s a won-derful way to stay spiritually engaged as a family and as a commu-nity. It offers tremendous flexibility in these challenging times. While this program is primarily conducted in English, Bilingual accommodations can be made. We look forward to walking in faith with any family who would like to join in program. God bless! ATTENTION
Sacrament Preparation is separate and in addition to faith formation (whether in a Catholic school or parish program). First Communion is a
two part program that is taught at home by the parents (for BOTH parish and ASCS children): October to December parents will prepare their child
(ren) for First Reconciliation (Confession) and then in January parents will
begin preparation for First Eucharist (First Holy Communion) in the Spring
of 2021. PARENT MEETINGS will be conducted via Zoom at the beginning of October. Two different meeting dates/times will be offered to accommo-
date busy family schedules. After at least ONE parent has participated in one of the First Reconciliation Parent Meetings, arrangements may be made to acquire preparation materials. CONFIRMATION information will
be going out later in the Fall to all of those families with children who will be celebrating the sacrament in the Spring of 2021.

Deacon Marty Mueller All Souls Parish Community offers our warmest
thanks and gratitude to Deacon Marty Mueller,
who for 15 years served the faithful selflessly

Deacon Marty and his loved ones well in their
future together. May God’s blessings be shed
abundantly upon them and may we always
keep them in our hearts and prayers!
