Pope Francis “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” Hunger and thirst are intense experiences, since they involve basic needs and our ins nct for survival. There are those who desire jus ce and yearn for righteousness with similar intensity. Jesus says that they will be sa sfied, for sooner or later jus ce will come. We can cooperate to make that possible, even if we may not always see the fruit of our efforts.   «Felices los que enen hambre y sed de jus cia, porque ellos quedarán saciados»  «Hambre y sed» son experiencias muy intensas, porque responden a necesidades primarias y  enen que ver con el ins nto de sobrevivir. Hay quienes con esa intensidad desean la jus cia y la buscan con un anhelo tan fuerte. Jesús dice que serán saciados, ya que tarde o temprano la jus cia llega, y nosotros podemos colaborar para que sea posible, aunque no siempre veamos los resultados de este empeño.   Rejoice & Be Glad paragraph #77

The Knights of Columbus Council 605, serving the Beloit and

Clinton cluster parishes, is happy to announce that Paul Klespis-Wick has been elected as the next Grand Knight of our council. Paul will begin his two year term on July 1st. He succeeds immediate past Grand Knight Norm Jacobs, who will continue to serve the council as a trustee. An active member of the council, Paul has been a member of the degree team and has chaired our annual Tootsie Roll campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Paul can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at (608) 290-5382 . Please join us in congratulating Paul on accepting this leadership position.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather serve one another through love.” (Galatians 5:13) We like to celebrate the fact that we are free to “live the good life.” But Jesus calls us to a different kind of freedom. St. Paul reminds us that Jesus sets us free so that we can serve one another, share our gifts and promote God’s work here on earth to glorify His name and not honor ourselves.
