My dear parishioners, On May 24th, our parish feast day, we had a glorious celebration for the consecration to the Immac-ulate Heart of Mary. We had a decent crowd of parish-ioners attend, led in beautiful music by the English and Spanish choirs with the assistance of many people. Seven hundred-fifty-eight (758) names were placed inside the heart of Mary as part of the consecration. After the homily, I led the people in making their personal consecration to Mary and then made the parish consecration to her. At that moment, I placed the silver votive heart around her neck and invited the people in attendance to come forward with flowers to place by her image as a sign of their consecration. It was beautiful to see the young and the old and all in between make their way in procession, as the choirs sung songs of Mary. I was moved by love and devo-tion as the parishioners came forward. We truly hon-ored our mother. As I wrote last week, I see this moment as the dawning of a new era in our parish. Entrusting all to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Help of Christians, we move forward knowing that she is with us and she guides us. One of my more recent favorite understandings of Mary is that we are called to be like St. John the Apos-tle and Evangelist, the Beloved Disciple. We read in the Gospel of St. John chapter 19, verses 26-27, “When Je-sus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.” We are called to imitate the example of St. John and take Mary into our home. In a physical way, we can do that by having an image of her in our home. In a spiritual way, we take her into the home of our hearts. We ask her to take up residence with us, to be with us always. We keep her in our homes by offer-ing the rosary, a litany, a song or other Marian prayers. We turn to her and ask her intercession for family, work, the world and our church. We should never be afraid of going to her, because she is always waiting for us. If you did not receive a commemorative holy card from the feast day, please look for one in the church. It records the date of our consecration and has the Memorare prayer to Mary on the back. Even if you were just to recite this prayer each day, you would be inviting Mary to your home. God bless you. Mis queridos feligreses, El 24 de mayo, nuestra fiesta patronal, tuvimos una gloriosa celebración para la consagración al Inmacu-lado Corazón de María. Tuvimos un número decente de feligreses, guiados por la hermosa música de los coros en inglés y español con la asistencia de muchas perso-nas. Setecientos cincuenta y ocho (758) nombres fueron colocados adentro del corazón de María como parte de la consagración. Uno de mis más recientes entendimien-tos de María es que estamos llamados a ser como San Juan Apóstol y Evangelista, el Discípulo Amado. Lee-mos en el Evangelio de San Juan capítulo 19, versículos 26-27, “Jesús, al ver a la Madre y junto a ella al discípulo que más quería, dijo a la Madre: “Mujer, ahí tienes a tu hijo.” Después dijo al discípulo: “Ahí tienes a tu madre.” Y desde aquel momento el discípulo se la llevó a su ca-sa.” Estamos llamados a imitar el ejemplo de San Juan y llevar a María a nuestro hogar. En una forma física, po-demos hacerlo teniendo una imagen de ella en nuestra casa. De forma espiritual, la llevamos dentro de la casa de nuestros corazones. Le pedimos que resida con noso-tros, para que esté con nosotros siempre. La mantene-mos en nuestros hogares ofreciendo el rosario, una leta-nía, un canto u otras oraciones Marianas. Nos volvemos a ella y le pedimos su intercesión por la familia, el traba-jo, el mundo y nuestra iglesia. Nunca deberíamos tener miedo de ir a ella, porque ella siempre nos está esperando. Si ustedes no han recibido una estampa conme-morativa del día de la fiesta, busquen en la iglesia. Re-gistra la fecha de nuestra consagración y la oración Me-morare a María en la parte de atrás. Aunque solamente rezan esta oración todos los días, están invitando a María a sus hogares. Que Dios les bendiga. A Jesús por María,

Corpus Christi Sunday, June 23 we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known by its Latin name, Corpus Christi. As a way of highlighting the day we will have two processions with the Blessed Sacrament. After the 10 am Mass and after the 12 noon Mass, we will process around the block of St. Mary’s and end with Benediction of the Blessed Sac-rament in front of the rectory. We invite all our First Holy Communion children to return wearing their suits and dresses to lead the procession. We also ask all our recently confirmed to participate by wearing their confirmation robes and to help carry the canopy. Come join us as we honor our Lord Jesus Christ, truly present in the Eucharist.
Holy Name Society The Holy Name Society is sponsoring a Deluxe Parish Communion Breakfast on Sunday, June 9th. Breakfast will be served at 9 am in the Parish Room. Tickets are available after all Masses. Adults: $15.00 Children: $7.00
Summer Bible Program The office of religious education is excited to announce that regis-tration is open for our Summer Bible Program. The bible pro-gram will take place from August 12th to August 23rd and will have an awesome theme for each week!!!

Corpus Christi El domingo 23 de junio celebraremos la Solemnidad del Sagra-do Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo, también conocido por el nombre en Latín, Corpus Christi. Una forma de destacar ese día vamos a tener dos procesiones con el Santísimo Sacramento. Después de la Misa de 10am y después de la Misa de 12 del medio día, procesaremos alrededor de la manzana de María Auxiliadora y terminaremos con Bendición del Santísimo Sacramento frente a la casa parroquial. Invitamos a los niños que recibieron la Pri-mera Comunión a regresar con sus vestidos de Primera Comu-nión para guiar la procesión. También le pedimos a los que recientemente recibieron la Confirmación que participen con su túnica de confirmación para ayudar a cargar el toldo. Únanse a nosotros para honrar a nuestro Señor Jesucristo, verdadera-mente presente en la Eucaristía.
