• In every country there is a backbone, a team of brilliant people who with their ideology, creativity and mind-blowing suggestion helps to develop a nation.

• What happen if there is a lack of number of these skilled expert in the country, will the nation ever become developed…

Effects of Brain Drain

• Most migrants are highly skilled, and those who replaced them are usually fresh graduates with no work experience.

• Emigration has caused Fiji to lose a large stock of its key skilled personnel, which must raise serious concerns about the prospects for increasing the speed or quality of economic development.

Conclusion• If Fiji is serious about riding the

creative and innovation wave, it needs to give enough opportunities for the young creative minds to be nurtured and provide incentives for those in the field to get their projects off the ground as funding is critical for the development of the creative and innovation industry.

• The government should

implement programs that can encourage their citizen that there is also “green pastures” in Fiji.

• There should be more grants for education in Fiji, since foreign scholarship not only offer an education but also work and citizenship in their corresponding countries, thus leading to brain drain.

• Fiji also need to shift to a higher gear if we want to grow the industry and while luring talent is great, we also have to look within and nurture our talents from young since the future agenda of the country involves creativity and innovation.
