What  is  Centiment?  

Centiment  is  a  big  data  company  that  is  creating  a  predicative  analytics  platform  for  digital  content.  By  using  machine  learning,  social  sentiment  inputs,  and  big  data,  the  company  provides  a  scientific  approach  to  the  future  performance  of  digital  content  – specifically  Video  Advertising.

What  does  Centiment  deliver?  

Centiment  uses  big  data  to  deliver  “sentiment  profiles”  in  real  time  to  video  ad  distributors  with  the  goal  of  more  effectively  influencing  the

Where Is the Product Today?

Phase  #1:  Feature  FilmsCentiment  developed  their  initial  tech  around  feature  films,  back  testing  its  predicative  analytics  on  all  film  revenue  since  1970.  This  resulted  in  a  ~10%  error  margin  on  average,  validating  the  machine  learning  algorithm  which  calculates  that  revenue  forecast  based  on  each  film’s  script,  video  trailer  (if  available),  budget,  genre,  and  who  would  likely  pay  to  to  

see  it  before  it  launches.

Phase  #2:  Pivot  to  Marketing  TechnologyIn  response  to  key  feedback  from  mentors  &  advisors,  Centiment  has  pivoted  its  technology  towards  the  shortest  form  of  digital  content:  video  advertising.  This  shift  is  not  a  start-­‐from-­‐scratch  and  is  only  a  shift  of  the  existing  tech  and  underlying  machine  learning  algorithms  that  the  team  has  developed.   The  key  benefit  of  this  pivot  is  1)  instant  feedback  loop  (vs  1-­‐2  years  for  film)  and  2)  massive  market  opportunity  (40  billion  videos  ads  streamed  monthly).
