The most comprehensive emergency care program available in Australia before entering the pre-hospital arena. The course is especially suited for first responders, mine rescue, firefighters, road rescue, security personnel and those tasked with managing a casualty in a remote area when medical assistance is not directly available. Those wishing to attain the Certificate II in Medical Service First Response - HLT21015 can elect to complete the additional units listed below. Entry Requirements Previous First Aid training Units of Competency * Provide first aid (HLTAID003) * Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID007) * Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID006) * Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005A) * Provide First Aid in Remote Situations (HLTAID005) * Utilise Advanced Circulatory Technology within Emergency Medical Care (EMRPHC412A) * Implement the Universal Triage System for Pre Hospital Care (EMRPHC410A) Optional Electives - allows for attainment of Certificate II in Medical Service First Response - HLT21015: * Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures (HLTINF001) * Work with Diverse People (CHCDIV001) * Participate in Workplace Health & Safety (HLTWHS001) Duration and Mode of Delivery 5 days (face to face) plus pre-course study of approx. 10 hours.
