KEY ISSUES

• Length of time to bring first applications to implementation

• Levels of interest versus budget

• Broadening participation

Page 12: CLIMA EAST EXPERT FACILITY (CEEF) - Control Panel1067656943.n159491.test.prositehosting.co.uk/wp-content-sec/...CLIMA EAST EXPERT FACILITY (CEEF) Roman Tertychnyy, ... B1 – Relevance

EF BUDGET INCREASE AND NEW TRACK 2

In response to these issues, DG NEAR

• has allocated further funding of €1,044,480 to increase support through the facility to ensure the Facility can continue to fund new applications

• is particularly interested in supporting applications that enable and support broad-based cooperation/contributions to the definition, development and delivery of national climate policy and action, within PCs policy frameworks.

Clima East is therefore introducing a dedicated ‘Track 2’ application route within the Facility, to support collaborative projects involving 2 or more domestic partners

Page 13: CLIMA EAST EXPERT FACILITY (CEEF) - Control Panel1067656943.n159491.test.prositehosting.co.uk/wp-content-sec/...CLIMA EAST EXPERT FACILITY (CEEF) Roman Tertychnyy, ... B1 – Relevance

CEEF TRACK 1 AND 2 Track 1: The CEEF continues to accept applications corresponding to the original set of criteria, and the process for this remains unchanged.

Track 2: Under this track, the European Commission is keen to consider applications that encourage and enable cooperation and broad-based contributions to the definition, development and delivery of national climate policy and action:

• sectoral ministries,

• other national or local administration bodies,

• civil society

Track 2 applications will

• respond to the same technical criteria as those Track 1, plus

• involve two or more active domestic beneficiary organisations

Track 2 goes live on 5th February 2015

• Full guidance to be published on www.climaeast.eu

• information and support available from team

• Next evaluation round cut-off date will be:

15th March 2015
