Fiberopticcableispackagedforshipmentonwoodenorcompositereels.Eachpackagecon-tainsonlyonecontinuouslengthofcable.Thepackagingisdesignedtopreventdamagetothecableduringshippingandhandling.Fibercablereelsareprotectedwitha“reelwrap”,thehighesttechnologyavailabletoday.Thiswrapisstronger,lighterandmoreenvironmentallyfriendlythanothermethodsoflagging.Inaddition,reelwrapissimpletoremovefromthereelandread-ilydisposable.Allreelsizesbetween889and1981mmwillbeblockedandpalletizedtohelpensuresafearrivaltothecustomer.Eachreelisplainlymarkedtoindicatethedirectioninwhichitshouldberolledtopreventlooseningofthecableonthereel.

ProductsshippedoutsidethecontinentalUnitedStatesareprotectedwithreelwrap,laggedwithwood,andblockedandpalletized(forreelsizesbetween889and1981mm)orplacedontherollingedgeandsecurelyfastenedtointerna-tionalshippingcontainers.
