History of theRussian Glass CompanyThe history of Russian Glass Company originates from 1992, when the largest glass manufacturer in Russia OJSC «Bor Glassworks» created CJSC «Bor Glass» in St. Petersburg. The established company started its market activity in St. Petersburg and Northwest of Russia as a supplier of high-quality polished glass of various thicknesses.

In 1997 the Belgian glass monopoly «Glaverbel» came to Russia and purchased OJSC «Bor Glassworks». In Russia the production of the processed glass sheet is situated in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Samara and Yaroslavl.

In 2000 «Glaverbor Petersburg» became the official representative of the Glaverbel Group and «Bor Glassworks» in St. Petersburg. The plant began to provide transparent structures for windows of residential buildings, facade glazing, as well as glassware for construction companies in St. Petersburg and the whole North-West of Russia.

Since 2002, the moderenization of production capacities began at «Glaverbor Petersburg» plant, as a result of which the plant was equipped with the most advanced and unique equipment for industrial glass processing in the North-West region.

2006 – seven factories for glass sheet processing in Moscow (Zhukovsky town), St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Samara and Yaroslavl are acquired from Glaverbel by «Adamant» Holding. «Adamant» Holding is one of the largest diversified holdings in Russia, leader of St. Petersburg retail property, in the structure of which there are dozens of manufacturing and construction companies, retail, medical and advertising companies, hotels, restaurants and other enterprises in various

business areas. In May 2006 creation of JSC «RGC» (Russian Glass Company).

In 2007, JSC «RGC» joins JSC «Neva stained glass», previously part of the «Adamant» holding structure.

In 2008, opening of the factories in Yaroslavl, Samara and Krasnodar and the largest factory in Eastern Europe for glass processing and manufacturing of insulating glass units in Osinovaya Rosha in St. Petersburg.

Investment in the factory in Osinovaya Rosha amounted to more than 50 million Euro. The factory is equipped with a unique complex of equipment that allows to solve a full range of tasks for the industrial glass processing, producing the technologically sophisticated products: architectural glazing of complicated forms, insulated glass for structural glazing, moulding glazing of large forms, laminated glass and tempered glass in a maximum format 3210 x 6000 mm.

In May 2013 – the reconstruction and modernization of the old factory RGC Knipovich. In July 2013 Russian Glass Company acquires «Kazan Construction Glass» increasing the number of its plants up to 11 and opening new markets in the Republic of Tatarstan. In December 2016 “Solarex Style” company becomes a member of “RGC” Family and it’s total amount of production sites comes up to 13.

In 2016, the production capacity of the 13 factories of JSC «RGC» included 35 modern production lines for insulating glass, 10 glass-tempering furnaces, 2 lines for laminated glass manufacturing, digital printer, as well as a full range of auxiliary equipment for cutting and glass processing.

At the moment Russian Glass Company holds more than 25% of the facade glazing market in Russia and is one of the largest Russian companies for the Glass processing.

The most advanced production equipment and many years of experience provide RGC being the best supplier of glazing projects in Russia and abroad and to look to the future.

QUALITYThe main task of the Russian Glass Company is the continuous improvement of the quality of products in accordance with the requirements of customers to strengthen the competitive advantages in the Russian and CIS markets.

Starting from 2010 RGC has got an international certificate EN 1279-5:2010 for window glass units quality conformity by Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro.

In 2013 RGC received the Certificate of Quality Management System ISO 9001: 2008 and has it’s annual validation.

To maintain a high level of manufacturing quality RGC has a complex control system covering all the stages of the process. The most critical areas of production are equipped with automatic control system.

In each RGC unit, there is also a quality control service that provides:

Incoming inspection of materials and components.Operational control at all stages of production.Control tests for each batch of products manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST.
