CLASSES ACTIVITIESFor their final month of AUAP, students vacationed to places likethe Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, and DisneyWorld. When they returned, students combined with a visitingcohort of Colombian medical students for activities. Aninternational food night was held, with AUAP students cookingokinomiyaki and the Colombian students making local dishesfrom their home country. Both groups also went to Spokane towatch the July 4th fireworks together.Finally, the graduation and Goodbye Party was held. Studentsreceived certificates and were given special recognition forperfect attendance and outstanding scholarship (a grade of S inall AUAP classes). Entertainment was provided by students. A performance was given and students and guests were shown avideos commemorating the highlights of the cycle.

This month students presented their final researchpresentation. Over the past few months, students havebeen reading and studying a famous person. Theywrote a speech, created a PowerPoint and presented toan audience of staff, teachers, and a visiting group ofColumbian students. Students felt accomplished aftercompleting their project and were impressed by howtheir English has grown. In other classes, students enjoyed group discussionand conversations with the visiting Colombianstudents. They compared and contrasted their studyabroad experiences, and also learned about differentcultures.

7⽉のAUAP アクティビティー(Activities)AUAPの最後の⽉間は、それぞれイエローストーン国⽴公園、グランドキャニオン、ディズニーワールドなど訪

れました。休み明け、⽣徒たちはコロンビアから短期留

学でやって来た医学⽣と共にアクティビティーに参加し

ました。アクティビティーの⼀つにインターナショナル

フードナイトが開催され、そこでAUAP⽣はお好み焼きを作り、コロンビアの⽣徒達は、コロンビア料理を作り

ました。お互いの料理を⻝べ合い⽂化交流をしました。

また７⽉４⽇には、独⽴記念⽇の花⽕を⼀緒に⾒に⾏き

ました。

最後に卒業式と送別会が開催され、⽣徒達は、修了書を

もらいました。また無⽋席の⽣徒と、全クラスの成績が

Sの⽣徒は特別に表彰されました。その後⽣徒の⼿によるエンターテイメントが⾏われ、会場を訪れたゲストは

このサイクルのハイライトビデオを観ました。

クラス(Class)今⽉⽣徒達はプレゼンテーションを⾏いました。ここ数

ヵ⽉⽣徒達は有名な⼈についてリーディングを通し勉強

してきました。そしてスピーチを書き、パワーポイント

を使ってスタッフ、先⽣、コロンビアの⽣徒達にプレゼ

ンををしました。⽣徒達はプロジェクト終え達成感を味

わい、観客からは彼らの英語の上達に驚かされました。

他のクラスでは、コロンビアの⽣徒達との討論会楽しん

でいました。⽣徒達はお互いの留学経験⽐較したり⽂化

の違いを学びました。
