    Other Agencies Response:

    Health Cluster Activities National Health Crisis Management Centre and Control Room (Hot Line +88 0 1519114488) of

    DGHS and all CS offices of respective districts have been alerted & activated for monitoring the health situation at 24/7 basis.

    All Civil Surgeon Offices have been instructed to take necessary steps and Control Rooms of flood-affected area are operational round the clock.

    126 Medical Teams are working to tackle the health problems in flood affected areas. At moment there is no shortage of emergency drugs (ORS, WPT, IV saline, anti-snake venom,

    antibiotics and other necessary drugs) in buffer stocks of these areas. WHO, as a Health Cluster lead and other health cluster partners are closely monitoring the

    overall situation with National Health Crisis Management Centre and assured for providing necessary technical support, if needed.

    WHO has recently provided a significant amount of emergency drugs which are being used to manage health problems in Chittagong division flash floods. Apart from those drugs, IEHK (Inter-Agency Emergency Health) Kits are being procured for better health service. One IEHK Kits can serve 10,000 people for 3 months.

    Preparedness Measures

    The DDM is monitoring the Flood/Inundation situation carefully. The Concern DRROs

    and PIOs are sending relative report. The NDRCC is monitoring the Flood/Inundation situation and getting news from DRROs. The DMIC is monitoring the Flood/Inundation situation. Different NGO/INGOs/UN Clusters also monitoring the situation

    IVR dialling 10941 is active for disseminating weather advisory and updated early warning messages.
