Dear Divine Mercy Parishioners:

I thought that an update on the current

state of affairs in our Parish is in order

since we cleared the New Year and

2021 is upon us.

Covid- 19:

We continue to celebrate Mass out-

doors Of course we are all observing

the health- protocols that are in place to protect us from in-

fecting one another. Mass times remain the same for both

weekday and weekend Masses for both in person attend-

ance and live streaming on YouTube. Communion is only

offered by hand due to

the pandemic. Com-

munion on the tongue

will not be available until

further notice. Confes-

sions are available by

appointment and after

weekday Masses. All

other ministry meetings,

devotions and prayer

group meetings are conducted virtually unless it meets the

smaller number of participants to be in person. Catholics are

still dispensed of their Sunday obligations because of this

pandemic. I continue to ask all of us to be patient, flexible,

cooperative and more prayerful during this of pandemic.

This will pass and we will be back to our regular fellowships

in our parish.

Finances:

Thank you for your contin-

ued generosity! Although

our finances continue to

need a boost, due to the

pandemic, we are still on

the steady side. This

would have been a far

different position had your generosity not been poured out

so greatly over the Christmas season. May God Bless you

continuously, today and always for sharing your blessings!

We are on time paying our bills to the Diocese and other

merchants. We are also current in making the payments due

for the $100,000 loan we received from the Diocese at the

onset of the Covid Pandemic. The Diocese has extended

the no payment/no interest arrangement on our Mortgage

Loan until March of 2021. All donations for the Church mort-

gage are being deposited in our local bank account for the

purpose of resuming payment on the mortgage in March.

Thank you again to each one of you for your continued gen-

erosity! You make the difference in taking care of God’s

house and work on earth!

Faith Formation:

The Children’s’ Faith

Formation continues

for our young ones

through virtual learn-

ing. Once a month

parents come to pick

up modules for their

children from Sister

Luz and our dedicated

Catechists. We have

shared a number of virtual retreats and series. These activi-

ties have benefitted parents and children. RCIA is active.

We have candidates preparing to be initiated during the

2021/2022 time periods. Please pray for these efforts to

bring and deepen faith for our children and adults as they pre-

pare to join our faith- family.
