AAE Executive Committee to hold Las Veqas meeting Las Vegas, Nev: The AAE Executive Committee will hold its interim meet- ing in Las Vegas immediately prior to the ADA annual session, which is to be held Nov 14-18. For the first time, the committee will hold a two-day session necessi- tated by the increasingly heavy load of AAE business to be transacted. Committee chairmen have been re- quested to submit reports only if sig- nificant matters require executive ac- tion at this time. Annual committee reports will be requested for presenta- tion at the annual session next April in Houston. Preparation qets underway for AAE operations manual Salishan Lodge, Ore: A preliminary planning group, chaired by Dr. Robert Uchin, met recently at Salishan Lodge to prepare a rough draft for an AAE operations manual for officers and committees. Following individual advance re- search and planning, Drs. Frank Trice, J. B. Freedland, and Henry J. Van Hassel and Mrs. Elenore Baker, AAE executive director, met with Dr. Uchin to coordinate their ideas. These will be presented to a long-range planning committee that has been charged with drafting the document. Dr. H. Stanley headlines first Auqusta pulp course Fort Gordon, Ga: The first Augusta pulp course was held recently at the Fort Gordon Officer's Club, with Dr. Harold Stanley--professor and chair- man of the department of oral medi- cine, University of Florida dental school, Gainesville--presenting an all- day seminar that incorporated the use of individual microscopes for each of the participants. Pulpal conditions varying from the normal to the most advanced stages of disease were stu~lied by 23 endodon- tists and oral pathologists from Geor- gia and nearby states. This experience in continuing edu- cation was produced with the coop- eration of the Medical College of Georgia and the US Dental Corps at Fort Gordon. Drs. Manuel I. Weis- man and Elmer J. Neaverth coordi- nated the course. 286 Regional representatives named by AAE committee Atlanta: In order to provide better service to student members of the American Association of Endodontists, the Graduate Student Committee has created six regions covering the con- tinental United States and the military services. Dr. David Pitts recently was ap- pointed regional chairman to coordi- nate the activities of students within the regions, and to serve as liaison with the committee and--through it --with the executive committee of the AAE. Following are the regions, the states they include, and the representatives: --Northeast I (New York and Massachusetts): Mark Cohn, 149-23 79th St, Howard Beach, NY 11414. Northeast I1 (Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsyl- vania): Robert N. AAE Executive Committee to hold Las Veqas meet ing
