EASTER GREETINGS! Dear All, “We are Easter people, and ALLELUIA is our song “Pope John Paul ll was spot on. We are a people of new life, faith, joy, peace, hope, love and thankfulness. We are a Community bonded as one by the immeasurable Love and Mercy of God. In the Risen Jesus we have the Living Water of our spiritual life. In the Spirit we can go forth with courage and enthusiasm. Early that Easter morning, Mary did not find what she was looking
for, the dead body of Jesus. But she found something better than she could have imagined: the Risen Jesus. Sometimes, the things we think we want most are not granted to us, what we get instead is an experience of God’s new ways of working in the world. That’s the power of the resurrection. When those moments come, we must spread the news – just as Mary did: WE HAVE SEEN THE LORD! My Easter Greetings and Prayers for you are that we all rejoice in these tremendous gifts in our celebration of the Light of Christ. Jacob
RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults With great joy at the Easter Vigil we initiate Tao Zhang (St. Paul’s), Nadya Kobal and David Morehouse (St. Peter’s). as we celebrate their Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. We thank God for the new life they bring to our parish. We pray too that the mystery and life of God continues to unfold in their lives. We thank their families for their support and also their parish companions Paul Quach, Kathy Wells, Peter Blazek and Peter Carolan. During the Easter season let’s draw them further into our communities. We also celebrate Confirmation with Christian Saccotelli at St. Peter’s.
Congratulations and blessing to all celebrating Sacraments.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
What a wonderful journey to Easter! Thank you to all the Liturgy and Environment groups at St. Peter’s (Marj & Sue), St. Paul’s & St. Catherine’s for the numerous hours they have given preparing the many liturgies in our three churches for the Lent and Easter seasons. A special thank you to our music groups for the ongoing commitment to the enrichment of our liturgies. A very big thanks to all the people who readily “signed up” for jobs – our Readers; Eucharist Ministers and other helpers. A special thank you to Sr. Delia who, once again spent many hours decorating all three Paschal Candles at St. Peter’s, St. Paul’s & St. Catherine’s. Beautiful symbols of Christ’s resurrected presence amongst us.

THIS WEEK’S GOSPEL – John 20: 1-9
First Anniversary occurring at this time:
It was very early on the first day of the week and still dark, when Mary of Magdala came to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away from the tomb and came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved. ‘They have taken the Lord out of the tomb’ she said ‘and we don’t know where they have put him.’
So Peter set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb. They ran together, but the other disciple, running faster than Peter, reached the tomb first; he bent down and saw the linen cloths lying on the ground, but did not go in. Simon Peter who was following now came up, went right into the tomb, saw the linen cloths on the ground, and also the cloth that had been over his head; this was not with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and he believed. Till this moment they had failed to understand the teaching of scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
