PRIMAY LEVEL• Pakistan only spends

2.3% of its GDP on education.

• 23% of boys and 52% of girls quit education after finishing primary school education.

• According to a survey, 5.1 million students are out of school of which 63% are girls.

SECONDARY LEVEL

Secondary education in Pakistan begins from grade 9.

In 2010-11, 2.63 million students were studying in almost 25000+ schools.

In 2011-12, this rate increased by 3.6% to 2.73 million.

HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL

After completion of (SSC) exams , students then enter in intermediate college and complete grades 11 and 12.

In 2010-11 almost 80000 teachers were teaching in 3400 colleges.

In 2011-12 1.29 million students were enrolled in intermediate colleges.

Schools and colleges should be opened at rural areas where our literacy rates are low.

Awareness should be spread among the people about the importance and benefits of education especially in rural areas.

Seminars should be arranged at schools and colleges to convey them the need and importance of higher education.
