Exalted Ruler’s Message
Hello Fellow Elk Members, As I write this column, it has yet to be Christmas and the Joy and Happiness is still afloat at the Lodge. People talking and smiling as they anticipate the hugs and kisses that they will receive for the gifts that they have for their loved ones. Ugly Sweaters are about with no regard for fashion. Yet all is well. People are happy and the Brotherly Love is apparent. I hope and pray that all of your Christmas Wishes came true for you and yours! Now we turn the page and a new calendar year is upon us. What are we going to do for the next 365 days? I am sure most of you have made resolutions to do something different this year. Quit smoking, lose weight, exercise more! These are the TOP 3 resolutions every year. I am certain that there are probably too many others to put in this Bulletin and not blow the mailing Budget. SO, here is my suggestion; Have you made a resolution to do more or become involved in Your Lodge? Maybe attend a few meetings, Volunteer for a function or two, OR just stop by Your Lodge to mingle with old friends and to make new ones? Whether it’s signing up for an event, a committee or becoming an officer. There are many ways to contribute depending on your availability and/or interests. We cannot fulfill our commitment to charity, justice, brotherhood and fidelity without YOU being active in Your Lodge! There are three months left in the Elk year and they are significant. January we are asked to consider how we might better serve our Lodge by being nominated for an Office. February provides us the opportunity to nominate and elect those who will over-see the operation of our Lodge. March we will install those Officers for the ensuing year. Along with choosing the leadership for our Lodge we still have much to accomplish as we bring our current year to a close. So Step Up, Volunteer and ENJOY! Fraternally, Edward G. Taddei Jr. “United in Purpose to Make a Difference”

Women’s Auxiliary
Hello Members, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! Let's welcome this New Year with friendly smiles on our faces. Now that the hustle and bustle is done, I trust everyone had some fun.
The PER's did another unbelievable Memorial Service to Our Absent Members. For the month of December, I want to thank the auxiliary members for their donations to the Holiday Food Baskets. Faith Marsh and her helpers did a fantastic job putting the 5 baskets together. Thank you to the members of the lodge and auxiliary for their donations and support to our Cookie Sale. Linda Nemes did an extraordinary job chairing this event. The auxiliary got together for a little Christmas dinner. Thank you, Joanne Jackman and Thelma Harvey, for doing such a wonderful job. NOMINATIONS: It's time for nominations for Auxiliary Officers. If you are interested in being an Officer or know someone who is interested, Please contact Jody Turner at 609-273-1425. My INSPIRATIONAL thought for the month: Albert Schweitzer
“Even if it’s a little thing, do something for those who have need of a person’s help– something for which you get no pay but the privilege of
doing it. For, remember, you don’t live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here, too.”
UPCOMING EVENTS: (see details on flyers in Lodge, foyer and back of bulletin) Jan 17-Nanny Dust-See Faith Marsh for tickets Jan 22-Pasta Dinner with meatball and sausage, salad and dessert, coffee, tea Jan 26-Chalk Coutre-Make and Sip; see Joanne Jackman for tickets Feb 7-Jerry Blavat-see Mary Piccone for tickets
Feb 12-on sale now raffle ticket for a DIAMOND RING. Tickets are $5. See any Auxiliary member.

To Our Absent Members
It is important to us that we show respect to our Members at all times, most importantly in death. As we no longer call their names on the Roll, let us honor them one last time!
HOWARD TUCKER, MARK GUTTERSON, WALTER PODLESNY, LARRY REED
Heavenly Father, we ask that you grant these members a speedy recovery and good health. Amen PLEASE, if you know of anyone who is sick, hospitalized or has passed away, please notify me as soon as possible 732-232-3231 or 609-372-4227. William Drapczak Chaplain
Secretary Notes Just a reminder….To become a member of our great order, the person must be a citizen of the United States. They must also be a believer in God and (21) years of age. If you know of someone who would like to be reinstated back into the Elks, this is very easy to do. First, have them complete a Reinstatement form and submit it with the fee of $30. (an exception to this is during the months of December and January the reinstatement fee is only $1.00). After an interview and affirmative vote on the floor at the next general meeting and paying the prorated dues according to the Elk year, he or she will be back in the Elks. It’s that easy. Our next year dues notices will be out in about a month with payment due before April 1st. We currently pay $99.00 so please don’t get sticker shock when you get the annual dues notice for $101.00. The reason for the increase is because Grand Lodge raised the per capita insurance $2.00 per member. Our actual annual dues are only $80.00 with the additional $21.00 being added as the per capita that National and State charges and is out of our control. The way I’m going to beat the $2.00 increase is to have one less Miller Lite. Yea Right.
Don’t forget to get your applications in for our next class initiation. We want to beat the 29 member class who just joined December 2nd. We need your help to “Getter Done”. I’m still trying to locate a couple members, so if you know of someone who moved, please get me their address. Have a happy and great New Year.
Schedule for next class: Interview and Indoctrination: 7:00 pm, February 13th Voting: February 17th @ regular meeting. Initiation: March 2nd @ 7:00 pm. Meeting will follow.
Danny Sholes, PDD Lodge Secretary
Board of Director’s Update
May Almighty God grant our members the rewards of good life and offer comfort and solace to their bereaved families. Amen.
The Board of Director’s are getting prices to replace 10-12 72” round tables. Also, we are getting prices to replace the 48”x30” wood tables. The replacements will be the plastic type. The two trees on the front lawn have been trimmed. The board is developing a five-year update plan for projects that need repairs and replacements.

The House has requested the formation of a Credentials Committee to address the issue of Members and Guest. Inner Guard – Joe Ratajczak and Tiler - Gerry Vaughan have stepped up to be the Chair and Co-Chair of this Committee. If anyone is interested in becoming a member of this committee, please contact either Joe or Gerry. The committee will be responsible to help us police who is entering the lodge and who is permitted to be there. This is an extremely important committee to ensure that we are compliant with our License and Charter. Reminder: Members MUST have their membership card to enter the Club. If you do not have your card with you, you must sign the Visitor’s Book. When a guest comes in with a member they too must also sign the Visitor’s Book. Guests may stay in the Club as long as the member is present. If the member vacates the Club, the guest must also vacate the Club. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
