While in college, I became familiar with the song, My Tribute, by Andrae Crouch. He had written and begun singing it in 1972.

Dennis Lester has sung it in our church. The words are so meaningful, particularly as we approach Thanksgiving this week so meditate on them throughout this week.

How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me? Things so undeserved yet you gave To prove your love for me. The voices of a million angels Could not express my gratitude. All that I am, and ever hope to be I owe it all to thee. To God be the glory, to God be the glory To God be the glory for the things he has done. With his blood he has saved me, With his power he has raised me. To God be the glory for the things he has done. Just let me live my life and Let it be pleasing Lord to thee. And if I gain any praise, let it go to Calvary. With his blood he has saved me, With his power he has raised me. To God be the glory for the things he has done.

Give God the glory today and always!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (SHOEBOXES)

First Baptist will be a collection center this year for shoe-boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We are into the final two days of collection. If you would like to help with this ministry please contact Mary Duke at 919-482-1280.

CENTRAL REGIONAL HOSPITAL NEED Central Regional Hospital’s Reindeer Store is in need of small size gift boxes for jewelry. Yes, those little gift boxes you have been saving are needed for patients selecting gifts to give to family and friends. These may be dropped off in Tracy Ferrell’s office or the Fidelis Sunday School Class-

room. Thanks in advance for your help.

FOOD BOXES This year you will have an opportunity to purchase food boxes to help feed the hungry. The cost is $5 per box. Envelopes are available in the Family Life Center, vestibule, and office hallway. Please fill out an envelope, place money inside, and place it in the offering plate or bring to the church office no later than Sunday, December 18.

CHRISTMAS CARD EXPRESS Instead of mailing your Christmas cards why not drop them off in one of our Christmas Card Express boxes!!

Boxes will be placed in the designated areas beginning November 27. We will deliver cards to church mem-bers, shut-ins, and nursing/retirement home residents.

When sending cards don’t forget those in our congregation who lost loved ones this year. A card is like a hug when you cannot be with someone.

We will have Christmas bags for those who are shut-ins or are in nurs-ing/retirement homes. If you are visiting during the Christmas Season please stop by the church office and see if there are cards you can de-liver.

The last day to drop off cards with a guaranteed delivery by Christmas is December 14. Donations will be accepted. Please place donations in the offering plate or deliver to the church office. Do not place donations in with your cards.

candy to throw out along the parade route (no hard candy please). Con-tact Blaine Britt or Mary Duke if you have any questions.
