Fundraisers for Andy by Kayden Jarnagin When I heard that some students had decided to help another student by having fundraisers, I could not be more proud to be a PJH Raider. Ms. Jarnagin’s 3rd period students are doing what they can to help their classmate Andy Montes. Ms. Jarnagin said, “My students would listen to the announcements and hear about the t-shirts for Andy. Not all my students have $20 to buy a t-shirt but they still wanted to help.” When asked why they wanted to have the fundraisers for Andy 7th grader Elektra Rowlan said they wanted “to raise money for Andy and his medical trips and to help out with family issues.“We decided on hat days. We did the bracelets and then a movie day on the last day where you get to miss 3 periods, said 7 th grader, Isaias Dominguez, when asked what fundraisers the class was having. With all the fundraisers around to help raise money, 7 th grader, Lainey Orozco, was asked why they chose the ones they did. “Because they’re fun and we knew we could raise a lot of money with them,” Lainey said. With so many different fundraisers that the students were doing, some wondered how much adult help was given. The students came up with everything and they have done it all except actually ordering the bracelets. I had to help them out there with my debit card,Ms. Jarnagin laughed. When asked if any of her other classes were helping out, Ms. Jarnagin replied, Actually, some more of my students have decided they want to do something as well. Nothing has been approved just yet, but I know they will come up with something great. It sure is nice knowing we live in a place where people come together and help each other out. Fundraisers for Andy by Kayden Jarnagin

When I heard that some students had decided to help another student by having fundraisers, I could not be more proud to be a PJH Raider. Ms. Jarnagin’s 3rd period students are doing what they can to help their classmate Andy Montes. Ms. Jarnagin said, “My students would listen to the announcements and hear about the t-shirts for Andy. Not all my students have $20 to

buy a t-shirt but they still wanted to help.”

When asked why they wanted to have the fundraisers for Andy 7th grader Elektra Rowlan said they wanted “to raise money for Andy and his medical trips and to help out with family issues.”

“We decided on hat days. We did the bracelets and then a movie day on the last day where you get to miss 3 periods,” said 7th

grader, Isaias Dominguez, when asked what fundraisers the class was having.

With all the fundraisers around to help raise money, 7th grader, Lainey Orozco, was asked why they chose the ones they did. “Because they’re fun and we knew we could raise a lot of money with them,” Lainey said.

With so many different fundraisers that the students were doing,

some wondered how much adult help was given. “The students came up with everything and they have done it all except actually ordering the bracelets. I had to help them out there with my debit card,” Ms. Jarnagin laughed.

When asked if any of her other classes were helping out, Ms. Jarnagin replied, “Actually, some more of my students have decided they want to do something as well. Nothing has been approved just yet, but I know they will come up with something great.”

It sure is nice knowing we live in a place where people come together and help each other out.
