Introduction

TC6000GN-P1 is a high performance fully autonomous GPS module that outputs NMEA on a serial port. The RF input stage includes an LNA and a SAW filter and supports direct connection of a passive antenna. It provides a superior tracking sensitivity of-162dBm and allows positioning solutions even in critical environments like urban canyons or indoor situations. A highly stable TCXO reference oscillatoris integrated into the module. Adding an antenna, a 32,768Hz clock and a single 1.8V power supply will realize an antenna–to-NMEA high performance GPS solution. Its "watchful-eye" feature optimally uses the solution memory for automatic reuse of previously decoded satellite information to deliver ultra-fast Time To First Fix (TTFF) and optimization of the overall system power consumption. The module can be switched between active and deep sleep modes through a single hardware GPIO .

9.3 x 10.0 x 2.3 mm

Introduction

The TC6000GTIM GPS timing module incorperates acomplete GPS receiver (RF, Baseband plus GPS processing) with superior performance of -162dBm navigation sensitivity. It supports high precision GPS time pulse functionality (PPS) even if only one single satellite is in view. The “time stamp” function provides an internal high precision time measurement that is triggered by a hardwareinput. After a pulse appears on this input, the UTC absolute time point of the pulse event becomes available as a numerical value on the data port. This function is useful to attach timestamps to events (e.g. physical measurements) with nano-second resolution.

Features • One satellite PPS pulse generation for synchronization purposes• “Time stamp” feature with nanosecond resolution• GPS tracking & navigation sensitivity -162dBm• Host computer driver and implementation support from GNS• Suitable for many Operation Systems• GPS SAW filter and TCXO included• Only one single power supply (1.8V) needed• Miniature 36 pin module 9.3x10.3x2.3 mm LGA• UART interface• Assisted GPS (A-GPS) support

GNSS

Introduction

GNS802 is a complete GNSS receiver based on SiRF StarV that includes a well matched tiny chip antenna to provide the best performance on a 10x16 mm outline. Due to its capability to use GPS and GLONASS at the same time, GNS802 benefits from the higher availability of satellites in critical environments. The navigation performance and accuracy is further improved by using the correction data from SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, MSAS), QZSS.

Features • GLONASS and GPS simultaneously, • GALILEO, BEIDOU ready• 52 channels• Ultra high sensitivity: -165dBm• Chip ceramic antenna• Extremely fast TTFF at low signal level• SBAS (WAAS,EGNOS,MSAS,GAGAN, QZSS) correction support• A-GPS predicted / self predicted support

• Active Interference Canceller for GPS-in-band jammer rejection• Embedded logger function (external SPI flash needed)• High accuracy 1PPS output• NMEA-0183 or binary protocol• High update rate (up to 5/s)• Low Power operating modes• Direct battery operation from a single LiIon cell• User selectable host interface : UART / SPI / I2C• Direct interfacing in 1.8V and 3.3V systems• ibernate current consumption 50uA typical• SMD type LGA; a stamp hole adaptor is available for manual solder process• Small form factor: 10.0x16.0x2.1 mm

Interface Voltage 1.8 - 4.3 VDC

GPS evaluation moduleTC6000GN-EM1-S

IntroductionThe TC6000GN-EM1-S board is equipped with direct plug-in connectors for the MSP-EXP430F5438, MSP-EXP430F5529 board or Stellaris LM3S9B96 Cortex M3 EVB. An on board 32.768kHz oscillator for the GPS RTC and internal level shifters to adapt to the MSP-EXP430 and Stellaris boards’ signal levelsof 3.3V are also included. The external SMA GPS antenna connector provides 3.3V DC to supply an active GPS antenna for system- and performance tests.

Features • Tiny plug-in board that directly matches to the MSP-EXP430F5529, MSP- EXP430F5438 or Stellaris LM3S9B96 Cortex M3 EVB RF1 and RF2 connectors• External SMA antenna connector on board • GPS active antenna 3.3V DC supply• GPS-fix LED indicator• Test firmware (source provided) for demonstration & FW development• Test firmware outputs GPS status and Position solution on LC Display

StarterKit contents

• GNS TC6000GN-EM1-S plug-in board• Active GPS antenna• CD with documentation

Accessory

GPS antenna evaluation Kit is a practical GPS antenna evaluation board to estimate GPS signal levels atthe application environments, where a chip antenna will be applied. Furthermore it implements a SPDT RF switch IC, which switches between the on-board chip antenna and a second active or passive GPS antenna.
