Message from Father Robert:
During these challenging times, I am proud to announce that over 120 of St Lucy’s parishioners have already participated in our Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal efforts. Each year, the success of the Appeal at our parish is proof that you, and other parishioners, are united by faith and committed to living out God’s call to help our brothers and sisters in need.
While this is a difficult year for all, it is still an important time to reflect on how God is calling us to give of ourselves – through prayer to God who remains faithful in times of suffering, through service to our families and neighbors, and through the fruits of our labors to support the work of the Church.
If you have already made your gift, I humbly THANK YOU most sincerely for your sacrifice and generosity. If you have been thinking and praying about a gift to the Appeal, please realize that you are not alone in this effort. To date over 120 of our parishioners have already participated. Across the archdiocese 36,000 families from all parishes have committed approximately $17,000,000. My hope is that 100 more parishioners will join this weekend so we can reach our goal for the year.
Next weekend, we will be hosting a special pledge drive to thank those parishioners who have already contributed to the Cardinal’s Appeal, as well as encourage those who have yet to respond. If your circumstances permit, please join us and our parish community next weekend and prayerfully consider bringing your pledge envelope to Sunday mass or make your gift online before or after mass at cardinalsappeal.org/donate (make sure you choose “ST LU-CY, BRONX” from the drop down menu), or mail the pledge card you should have received. Additional pledge envelops will be found by the entrance of the church.
Thank you for all that you do for our parish and for your support of the Appeal. Your sacrifice is especially important this year.

Durante estos tiempos difíciles, me enorgullece anunciar que más de 120 feligreses de Santa Lucía ya han participado en los esfuerzos de la Campaña Anual de Corresponsabilidad del Cardenal. Cada año, el éxito de la Campaña en nuestra parroquia es una prueba de que usted y otros feligreses están unidos por la fe y comprometidos a vivir el llamado de Dios para ayudar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas necesitados.
Si bien este es un año difícil para todos, sigue siendo un momento importante para reflexionar sobre cómo Dios nos está llamando a dar de nosotros mismos: a través de la oración a Dios que permanece fiel en tiempos de sufrimiento, a través del servicio a nuestras familias y vecinos, y a través de los frutos de nuestro trabajo para apoyar la obra de la Iglesia.
Si ya ha hecho su regalo, humildemente le agradezco sinceramente su sacrificio y generosidad. RITE OF CHRISTIAN ADULTS CLASS for adults who have not received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and/or Confirmation.
Sessions will be held once a week beginning the end of October. Please come to the rectory office to register along with a copy of birth certificate and/or baptismal certificate.
The registration fee is $80.00.
St. Lucy's English Bible Group invites you to their now BI-Weekly Bible studies via Zoom.
Bible study will take place on Saturdays, bi-weekly, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please email [email protected] if you are interested so we may register you as a Bible Group member and provide you with meeting details. St. Lucy’s Bible Group covers various topics from Sacred Scripture and Sunday Gospel readings, to fundamentals of the Liturgy and the Mass explained. Enrollment applications for online religious education classes is now open REP students entering the first-year communion and confirmation program. We strongly suggest that parents\guardians attend the online class sessions with their children. The application documents will be sent via email upon request. All documents must be completed, signed and taken to the rectory in order to be registered. Please note that enrollment is limited and you should return the applications with all necessary documents with your payment as soon as you can to guarantee that your child has a seat.
