The name change is due to the significant growth of business activities which now includes service lines far beyond the traditional borders. “Many years have passed since we expanded our service lines. In the early years, BTX provided traditional Air and Ocean Services. Throughout the last 31 years we have added additional services that truly make us a complete logistics provider. BTX now has ware- houses strategically located throughout the United States and the world. Our service lines have expanded into areas like warehousing, fulfillment, and e-commerce to name a few. BTX Global Logistics name change transcends us from the old into the new,” states President and CEO, Ross Bacarella. “We are much more than an air express company and our name change makes sense.” BTX Global Logistics Annual System Meeting BTX Global Logistics held its Annual System meeting on October 13 – 15, 2011 at the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa located on the New England shoreline of Westbrook, Connecticut. The meeting covered an array of topics ranging from marketing strategies, internal process reviews and product enhance- ments. President and CEO, Ross Bacarella and Chief Operating Officer, Brian McConaghy kicked off the meeting with opening remarks that lead into the long awaited announcement of our name change to BTX Global Logistics. BTX Air Express has officially changed its name to BTX

Global Logistics. The name change is due to the significant

BTX Global Logistics is pleased

to announce the appointment

of Beth Schwartz to Director

of Human Resources and

Compliance. Beth will be

responsible for staffing,

performance management,

employment and compliance

to regulatory concerns.

Mrs. Schwartz holds a Bachelors

of Science degree in marketing

from Central Connecticut State

University. Beth has been with

BTX since August 2003, and

has previously held the position

of Security Coordinator.

BTX Global Logistics is proud

to announce the appointment

of Chris Clancy to Regional Vice

President. Chris most recently

held the position of Managing

Director for the BTX Chicago

station from 2006-2011.

Managing the Chicago branch

and involved in all aspects of

operations and sales Chris

assisted in making Chicago

very successful for BTX. Chris

also worked very closely with

BTX’s mailing industry clientele.

Mr. Clancy attended the

University of New Hampshire

where he earned a Bachelor’s

Degree in History and

Philosophy. He then attended

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio

The meeting then transitioned to the marketing side which was lead by Marketing Director Katie Bacarella. Katie discussed the benefits and guiding principles on using social media. In 2011 BTX formed Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter pages as marketing platforms and found them to be quite active. Brian McConaghy followed, discussing the impor-tance of risk management and BTX’s policy and procedures including discussions regarding the standards of operations and information technology. Day two focused on BTX’s Global platforms and business lines. Dave Kemmer, Vice President of International, discussed in detail BTX’s global strategies. Tim McElroy gave a presentation on BTX’s Sea Freight goals, objectives, market trends, carrier management strategies and technology. The meeting was attended by delegates from all over the country. Representatives from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Miami, Charlotte, JFK New York, Newark, Allentown and Hartford attended.

Premium Services Offerings Congratulations !

Congratulations to Mark and Dillin Woolley and Ken Allred of BTX Salt Lake City for being named the logistics provider for the King Tut Pharaoh Exhibit. The five year contract entails warehousing and the transport-ing of the exhibits. BTX SLC specializes in Exhibition and Trade Shows. They also handle the Genesis Exhibit which is the world’s foremost collec-tion of Paleozoica, Mesozoica, and Cenozoica species of man. This includes the Lucy Exhibit, which is a 3.2 million-year-old fossil whose discovery 33 years ago yielded then-unparalleled insights to the origins of human-kind. Also, the Dinosauria exhibit which is the most extensive collection of Mesozoic fossils which is also being handled by the SLC team. BTX-Salt Lake City has also been selected to store and transport the “Splendid Heritage” exhibit, which has been held and shipped for the past two years by BTX-SLC. This specific exhibit is our Nations most comprehensive collection of Native American artifacts.

Lupe Martinez has joined the

BTX team in the position of

Director, Ocean Services. Lupe

joins BTX with over 20 years

of experience in the ocean

transportation industry. She

has served in a variety of senior

management roles including

port and terminal operations,

customer service, demand

planning and network

optimization and most recently

as the Senior Manager of Yield

Management for the Americas

Region at APL. Ms. Martinez

earned a Bachelor’s degree in

Business Administration from

the University of Denver.
