Location pictures.

• Before I took my final pictures for my digipak and magazine advert I took some initial shots to make see what the composition would look like. It was essential that I did this as I was the one in the photos so needed to make sure whoever was taking the photos got the right images. Keeping with cohesion to the promotion video these shots are taken on the same street that appears in the video. From my research this is an important factor for an album campaign and is familiar for the audience.

I decided to use a clock in the composition as it represents how she is always holding time subconsciously, the clock she holds will also be in the video. Looking at these tester shots I think the long shots where she is sitting and dangling the clock works really well. she isn't aware she is holding the clock but it is always there with her linking to the song. The long shot is brightened by the scenery behind and makes the whole image look a lot brighter and fresher which will grab the audiences attention. I don’t think the close ups tell the story quite as well and therefore probably wont be using them to much when taking the real images. The long shots capture the concept behind the video and keep things in cohesion.
