1.1 COMMUNICABLE DISEASES 1.HIV/AIDS Intervention Programmes since 1993. Reached 700,000 people with counseling and testing services

Reached 2.2 million people with HIV prevention messages

3600 HIV- Positive pregnant women on Prevention of parent-to-Child-transmission of HIV

1,000 high schools students of 11 districts with prevention message

HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) around 40,000 families through 40 Community Care Centers with psycho-social, educational and medical services

Strengthening Nursing Expertise in HIV/AIDS (SNEH)-capacity building

3.Comprehensive Child Survival ProgrammeStrengthen the capacity of the health workers, health system and community to reduce infant and child mortality, the Comprehensive Child Survival Programme

3. ADVOCACY

1.People’s Health Forum Women’s groups were formed to identify health issues of women and children. A

2.District Health Action ForumThe Forum for stakeholders governments, NGOs, Academics Activists, and Civil Society Organizations in 15 States of India. Review performance of health services, healthcare challenges and gaps, take corrective measures

3.Improving Health in Indiaadvocacy at the grassroots, State and National levels aiming at forcing Government to take up necessary measures.

Active over 500 villages of the country.

CHAI had established the Community College affiliated to IGNOU, the world’s largest university & Jackson States University, USA and Loyola Academy. various courses initiated Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Administration,

Geriatric Home Based Care,

Disaster Management and Trauma Counseling, Alternative Systems of Medicine,

Clinical Pastoral Education,

NGO Management,

Basic Social Research methodology,

Advanced Social Research methodology,

Geriatric Home Based Care, Nurse Practitioners (Certificate & Diploma Programmes),

In the past years it has served 600 HIV/AIDs in patients.

It has reached to 450 HIV/AIDS patients through its outpatient department

7. MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL CAPACITY 440 professionals with diverse educational backgrounds like Medicine, Public Health, Social Work, Management, Administration, Science, Finance, Law, Theology and Fine Arts.
