Fully-responsive Intelligent Four-wheel Drive System

The Engine Control Unit of the Haval H8 uses real-time data (including vehicle speed, wheel speed and throttle position) and

controllable torque to intuitively switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive modes. So whatever the road conditions,

the Haval H8 intelligently adapts to accommodate them.

Advantages of the Intelligent Four-wheel Drive System

① The controllable torque from the intelligent transfer gear is transferred to the four wheels with exceptional accuracy in response to wheel slip

and steering issues. This improves acceleration, stability and fuel economy.

② The torque transferred to the front wheels in parking situations is extremely low or even zero to provide enhanced convenience and comfort.

③ Maximum traction and better acceleration are achieved at four wheels when accelerating. When the vehicle is running at uniform speed,

the torque of the front wheels is reduced to improve power stability.

④ When on slippery roads, the Intelligent Four-wheel Drive System works together with the vehicle's other electronic safety systems to

achieve the best traction and safety performance.

⑤ When ABS is applied, power transfer to the front wheels is cut off within 60ms to guarantee stability of the entire vehicle in braking.

⑥ The system responds quickly under off-road conditions to ensure all four wheels output the maximum traction as fast as possible.

The independent front suspension of this robust SUV features double wishbones that

absorb motion and transverse forces at the same time, whilst fully supporting the weight of

the vehicle. Rigidity is high enough to maintain tyre contact with the ground whilst the body

remains stable in challenging road conditions.

The upper and lower wishbones are unequal in length so the angle of camber can change

when the wheels are moving up and down. This reduces tread variation and tyre wear,

whilst delivering a smooth and comfortable driving experience.

This advanced and highly rated suspension system is becoming the worldwide industry

standard for luxury SUVs. It meets the very high demands of off-road driving whilst

improving handling, supporting superior control and delivering outstanding comfort to
