Since the beginning there are three questionsthat I often ask people whom have attendedExtravaganza for the first time: Did you have

a good time?, Did you meet new people?, and did you makeat least one new business contact? The answers have alwaysbeen overwhelmingly YES! To me this means Extravaganzais doing it right!

In February Extravaganza celebrated its second Birthdaywith the annual Birthday Bash! It was an incredible successwith estimates of well over 100 Extravaganza goers. Withregular attendance well over 60, it amazes me how successfulExtravaganza has been and how a simple, low involvement,idea has become such a major attraction within the network-ing community. I attribute much of this success to you, thesupporters; including everyone who regularly attends, localbusinesses that have been sponsors and contributed gifts, thehospitality of our event locations, and the constant referrals tothe event that everyone passes along. Thank you all for mak-ing Extravaganza so great!

You have all been doing your part to improve Extravaganzaand now its time for me to take the next step. As I an-nounced at the Birthday Bash; Extravaganza will be Launch-ing a new website within the next few months. It will be theplace for you to go to get informed about Extravaganza andother great events around the area. You will be able to viewthe monthly Networking Times Newsletter as well as stay incontact with your Extravaganza friends and network. I lookforward to this important and exciting addition to Extrava-ganza! Stay tuned to your email for future announcementsand new developments about the Website.

I would also like to give special recognition to someonewhom stands out in their involvement of Extravaganza. CraigTomlinson, of Bell Real Estate, has been sharing the burdenof Extravaganza administrative tasks with me for manymonths now. On a side note, many folks have told me that they ask to beput on the list but do not receive the emails. There are a num-ber of reasons the email may not be reaching you: It couldget caught up in your Spam Filter (you may need to recognizeme as a safe sender), your email may have changed and it did

not get updated, or your email simply did not make it onto thelist. I remove emails on a strictly Request only basis andeveryone is always welcome. Marchs Extravaganza to benefit the

Red Cross!

This month is an exciting new turn for Extrava-ganza! Chris in his generous and thoughtful char-acter agreed to utilize another opportunity for Ex-travaganza to extend it's benefit in this community.

March is national Red Cross month and Extrava-ganza is spotlighting the extraordinary work that

is done everyday by this amazing group.

Each year the Oregon Pacific Chapter of the Red Cross~Responds to an average of 4 disasters a week; including devas-tating home fires. 70% of families they help make less than$15,000 a year!~Trains more than 22,000 adults in life-saving skills includingadult, child and infant First Aid and CPR/AED~Teaches important safety skills to 7,000 children and youth in-cluding water safety and caring for younger children~Supports over 300 local military families with emergency com-munication resources and financial services~Utilizes more than 2,200 trained local volunteers~Delivers 71,000 meals to elderly house bound citizens in ourcommunity
