MarineService carries out a wide range of repair

tasks on vessels. The work is carried out in the

workshop in Hirtshals or on vessels around the

world. We have access to slipways as well as

docking facilities.

Our flexible organisation ensures fast decision-

MarineService undertakes repair, reconditioning

and renovation work under an all-inclusive con-

tract. We cooperate with professional and expe-

rienced sub-contractors and we guarantee the

overall quality. This means that our customers

have only one point of contact.

All-inclusive contract

MarineService carries out all types of engine work,

including total repair, maintenance, replacement,

and installation of engines. Our experience covers

all the recognised makes of two-stroke and four-

stroke diesel engines. Furthermore, we purchase

second-hand engines which we restore and sell.

MarineService also offers spare parts for all

types of engines

MarineService has the equipment and the facili-

ties for reconditioning/machining engine parts.

We carry out the work in our new service work-

shop in Hirtshals or in-situ, and we never com-

promise on quality. MarineService also carries

out special welding and machining to the require-

ments of the classification societies.

Our experience covers repair of cylinder heads,

pistons, connecting rods, cylinder liners, pumps,

fuel nozzles, radiators, thermostats, and valves,

just to mention some of them.

Engine workReconditioning of engine parts

MarineService offers attractive service con-

tracts based on engine working hours or

time-based maintenance. Worn-out parts are

dismantled and renovated at our workshop.

Then the parts are put aside for the custom-

er’s disposal in a preserved condition. This ap-

plies to all mechanical equipment on board.

MarineService also offers service checks of

engines. Data is gathered, treated and evalu-

ated in a comprehensive report. This report

gives tangible information on the condition of

the engine and makes the basis for next ser-

vice overhaul.

Service contracts

MarineService has experience and ex-

pertise in reconditioning/repair of turbo-

chargers including cleaning/glass blast-

ing and repair of damaged shafts. Bal-

ancing of the rotor of the turbocharger

and replacement of turbo-blades. Over-

haul/replacement of bearings and noz-

zle collar.

Reconditioning of turbochargers

MarineService carries out balancing of

rotating work pieces. We have lathes

and other equipment for balancing, fre-

quency metering and vibration metering

of rotating work pieces. By balancing

the rotating engine parts, a vibration

reduction of the rotating engine parts

is ensured.

MarineService carries out all types of alignment

and casting of foundation of engines, gearboxes,

stern tubes, front gear, steering gear, winches,

drums, and various other foundations for milling

machines, lathes, etc.

MarineService repairs all types of steering gear,

including dismounting, disconnecting, machining

and mounting.

MarineService dismounts, disconnects, renovates

and mounts all types of propeller equipment.

Furthermore, we bore stern tubes on-site.

Propeller equipment

MarineService carries out work on all types of

gearboxes. This includes ordinary maintenance,

straightening, casting of foundation, and inspec-

tion by classification societies. Continuous main-

tenance and preventive service of the gearbox

ensure an increased longevity and thus the conti-

nuity of propulsion.

MarineService has specially developed

laser equipment which enables mea-

surement of shaft lines, alignment of

diesel engines, gear, pumps, rudder,

etc. The measurement is documented by

printouts.

MarineService carries out repair of pipe-

lines and manufacturing of new pipes.

We have experience in all types of work

on pipes, including steel, aluminium,

stainless, cunifer, steam pipes, hydrau-

lics, plastic pipes, etc.

Pipe work

MarineService are specialists in de-acid-

ification of vacuum toilet pipes. A clean-

ing acid is pumped through the piping

system and removes limescale and uri-

nescale. The work is carried out on ves-

sels world-wide and the cleaning can be

performed while the vessel is in opera-

tion. Furthermore, we carry out high-

pressure flushing of other fall pipes.

Steel work

MarineService carries out all kinds of steel work

including work in stainless steel. We work for the

marine industry as well as for the inland industry.

Welding

MarineService has certified welders who are spe-

cially trained and can work with all types of steel

and stainless steel. We have experience with TIG,

MIG, MAG and electrode welding. We carry out

all types of welding on board vessels locally and

globally. Construction of steel structures and

mounting of exhaust systems on diesel engines

are only a few of the other welding jobs we have

carried out.

MarineService carries out all types of

hydraulic work including manufactur-

ing of hydraulic hoses, installation and

trouble shooting as well as repair of hy-

draulic systems.

MarineService carries out maintenance

on all pump types, including dismounting,

disconnecting, renovation and mount-

ing. We have experience in renovation

of piston pumps, centrifugal pumps and

hydraulic pumps, etc.

Repair of pumps

MarineService offers overhaul of cranes

and winches. We rebuild all types of

winches such as trawl, wire winches and

anchor winches. The work is carried out

worldwide.
