Congratulations to our First Communicants.

In spite of the challenges of this pandemic, God's message resonates that there will be "a union between Myself and the Heart and Soul of

your Child." The children were given a Special Grace that will be with them for the rest of their lives.

Thanks be to God for all these beautiful children who are receiving their First Holy Communion on 25 July and 1 August here at Corpus Christi. They are true signs of light and love in these dark days of the pandemic. Special gratitude to Mrs. Anaischik, Mary Ann Cabo and all our catechists for their dedicated work in the formation of the youngsters. And especially we are so thankful for all the parents and godparents of the children, who faithfully entrust our parish with the privilege of educating and celebrating Jesus Christ in your families! Please pray that First Communion marks a renewed beginning for us all, in weekly worship of the Lord every Sunday in the Eucharist! Yours in Christ, Father Malcolm

Parish Outreach proudly sponsors our 3rd Annual: “Learning can be fun if you have the right tools”

In order to learn, children need the right tools at the right time. Some children in our community don’t have or can’t afford the right tools. Buying school supplies may be difficult for local families going through tough financial times especially in this time of Covid-19. We, as a parish, we as members of the Mineola community, want to make a difference in their lives by providing the right tools they need to succeed. Through our “Learning can be fun if you have the right tools” school supply drive, we will be able to provide children with the basic supplies they need to be prepared for school this September whether in person or virtual learning. Will you help us make that difference by meeting this need? Parish Outreach is sponsoring a school supplies drive running from now until Labor Day weekend. The children need the following supplies:

• Backpacks • Staples Gift Cards • New notebooks, both spiral (single or multiple sectioned) and marble (all colors) • Pens (blue & black ink), pencils • Basic Calculators • 1” & 3” Binders • Dividers, 2 Pocket & Hole Punched Folders • Post-Its of all sizes • Highlighters, Markers, Glue Sticks • Black Sharpies & Dry Erase Markers & Erasers • New Assignment Pads • Baby Wipes & Tissues • Kid’s Scissors

With your generous help, we can make learning easier, fun and successful for students in need. Donations of school supplies may be left in the lobby of the Church. Please place them in the same chest that we now use for food donations. You may also bring these supplies directly to Parish Outreach, Monday – Friday between 9am & 3pm.

Português DÉCIMO SÉTIMO DOMINGO DO

TEMPO COMUM

Aqui vamos

examinar somente as duas primeiras parábolas.
