The DKD is located close to the center of Wiesbaden and 30 Km/20 minutes away from Frankfurt interna-tional airport. The clinic was opened in 1970 as a clin-ic with both national and international reputation. It is categorized as a medical facility of 138 beds and 60 outpatients. Our Internal Medicine department is home to the largest sleep laboratory in the Rhine-Main area, where all forms of sleep disorders are diagnosed and treated. In addition, an experienced team of experts is available at our heart catheter lab to provide emergency treatment to patients with cardiac disease, around the clock, 365 days a year.
Aside from the Diabetes Therapy Center at the University Clinic, our Diabetology department is the only diabetological treatment facility in all of Frankfurt to be certified by the German Diabetes Association as having the highest levels of quality, with diabetes-specific quality management.
Our surgeons and gynecologists operate about 5,500 patients each year: around 90% of them undergo gentle, minimally invasive surgery. Our Adipositas Surgery department performs more than 500 procedures each year to treat obesity, making it one of the top facilities in this discipline in Europe. This standing has been confirmed following certification as a „Center of Excellence“ by the German Society for General and Visceral Surgery.

The university hospital of Philipps-University in Marburg provides the highest standards of healthcare. It offers all options of diagnostics and therapy in all the differ-ent subspecialities, including a comprehensive inter- disciplinary patient care for complex diseases.
The Department for Cardiovascular Surgery is part of the university hospital, and specializes in treating complex cardiovascular diseases, such as the special surgical therapy of cardiac arrhythmias, bypass operations with complex reconstruction of diseased coronary vessels, the replacement and especially the reconstruction of heart valves, and also different treat-ment options for aneurysms and dissections of the thoracic aorta, including minimally invasive endo-
vascular stentgraft placements. An own intensive care unit takes care of the patients after surgery. Within the Heart Centrer of the university hospital, the department for cardiovascular surgery works in close cooperation with other specialized departments to offer an inter- disciplinary approach to multi morbid patients.
The university hospital is located in a forest area right on the outskirts of Marburg. The city of Marburg is only about one hundred kilometers away from Frankfurt/Main with its central airport. Patients can be picked up at the airport and brought to the hospital by our own shuttle service. The ear, nose and throat clinic occupies an area measur-ing 400 m² on two floors.

Patients suffering from sleep disorders, such as snoring and sleep apnea, allergies, and sinusitis are treated at the clinic, which has its own X-ray facilities equipped with state of the art equipment. The clinic also offers therapies for patients suffering from dizziness or tinni-tus, or who are hard of hearing.
